ACCES TO THE FATHER

For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Ephesians 2.18

It is to the Christian's detriment that he fails to carefully examine the Scriptures about his position in the Kingdom of God. Even knowing that the Gospel is the Good News for those who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord - and are therefore born again - many do not pay the slightest attention to the Word in this regard. One of our rights in faith in Christ is to have access to the Father in the same Spirit, the same channel used by His Son.

Think with me: how many blessings do we miss out on because we don't examine the Word? The Master commanded: You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. (John 5.39) Just as He recognized Himself in what was written, we will discover who we are in the Lord and what we can have from Him. We must act on this truth in order to improve our fellowship with people.

Answer honestly: have you ever seen the greatness of this revelation? How will you proceed from now on? There is no reason to live far from the Lord, frustrated and even upset at not having your requests answered by Him. God's children have to show, day by day, who they are and what they can do; otherwise, they will never be able to enjoy the life provided by Jesus.

When we understand this, we get to the best of faith in Christ, because we will also do the works He has done. That's what matters! By giving God true praise for His wonderful salvation, we obey His instructions. This is how He wants us to act. Making the Father glorified in the Son is the best praise we can give Him (John 14:13). Wake up to live in victory!

We can continually use the same access as the Savior and we will never be surprised or at the mercy of fate. The faith granted by Christ is our lot. With it, we will go to the Father to solve any problem and we will come back with the answer. Pastors need this access whenever they are in the pulpit; then they will truly be ministers of the Lord's goodness.

Access to the Father is open to those who have become new creatures, because there is no way that God could have excluded us. After all, the divine gifts are never annulled, as the Word says: For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.  (Romans 11.29) That's why Christians will never wake up to a message from Heaven saying that the Lord has thought better of it and decided to cancel some words in the Bible. He remains faithful!

The idea that the Holy Bible needs to be rewritten is from none other than Satan. Even though the Heavens and the Earth pass away, what God has said will remain forever (Luke 21.33). There never is and never will be an update of the Scriptures, because they are exactly what God planned before He even began creation. Poor those liars! They need to turn to the Lord quickly if they are not to perish!

Today's Prayer

God of eternal Truth! What security we have in examining Your Word! It gives us the right direction in all matters. The good thing is to be told that we have access to Your heart whenever we want. We thank You for the information that You will never change!

We pray for the people who don't know You and live deceiving others by saying that Your Word has to be updated. May they give themselves to Jesus to be with Him in eternity! They would do themselves and the unwary a great deal of good if they kept quiet!

Father, help us to examine Your Book, so that we can improve our service to You and to the people as well. We want to know You more, in order to teach those who don't know the difference between Truth and lies. We are grateful for everything You give us in the Savior!
