O Lord, for Your servant’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness, in making known all these great things
1 Chronicles 17:19
One thing we can be sure of: nothing that is not according to God's heart will prosper, for the earth and the heavens are His, and His will prevails (Deuteronomy 10:14; Proverbs 19:21). The Word says: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1). He is always present. We don't have to invent things to please Him, only to know the Scriptures and do what He requires of us.
Today, everything is different from the Old Testament era, for we are under the New Covenant, made by God with humanity through Jesus. All who accept Him as Savior and Lord become part of His people in the same way as the Israelites in the past. In Christ, they receive the same warm welcome from God. Love Him, for He loves you too!
The Scriptures reveal the will of the Lord for those who make the decision to have Jesus as their only and sufficient Savior. There is no other God, and there never will be. At the Areopagus, Paul spoke to the Athenians about the Creator: God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ (Acts 17:24-28).
God is the Source of eternal life. So why not accept Jesus as Savior now, if His love is intended for everyone? Even if someone has been the greatest sinner, if they repent, confess, and abandon their sins, surrendering to the lordship of Christ, they will be forgiven and justified. Out of love, God forgives and helps the repentant to break free from evil.
David recognized that God's love for him motivated the great things the Lord had done, inclining His heart to help him. God is a Father and does not want to see His children in error or being humiliated or persecuted. He saw that the king of evil, the devil, was inciting Saul to take the life of David, a man after His own heart (Acts 13:22), and prevented it. Saul would never be able to inflict on the son of Jesse the death he so desired.
Great things from the Lord are seen by the world, even though many people, who do not want to hear about them, try to silence those who have decided to do the divine will. God's work will never be interrupted, because the Commander of worldwide evangelization is Jesus. The Father's providence will rebuke the persecutors of Christ's workers, so that they may turn away from sin.
Everything that evil men try to do against those who love God and work for the salvation of others is being recorded in the heavenly annals. Certainly, there will always be new “Sauls of Tarsus” who will surrender to Jesus and be born again. The Holy Spirit is ready to spring into action as soon as the Lord's people intercede for the good and continuity of His work. God wants to save everyone. Pray for this!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Father of love, mercy, and power! When we are persecuted for the sake of Your righteousness, we must pray for those who attack us and want to take our lives. You love us and will protect us. We just need to turn away from hatred!
You know how to do great things, from healing people with supposedly incurable diseases to raising the dead. Your answers are aligned with Your ways. You desire to save the lost, in order to bring about change in them!
Many of Your interventions throughout the centuries have occurred in response to the cries of those who loved You, trusted in You, and kept Your commandments. So, save those who do not know You in the Name of Jesus!
