According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day—with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also
1 Samuel 8.8
In several texts of the Bible, the Lord informs that His retribution is according to the love we devote to Him (Romans 2:6-8; 1 Corinthians 15:58; Revelation 22:12). He loved us so much that He sent His Son into the world to save us from eternal perdition (John 3:16), to free us from our pains and illnesses, and to purify us from our transgressions and iniquities (Romans 5:8). We just need to love Him and keep His commandments, so that Christ and the Father may love us and manifest themselves to us (John 14:21).
In the base verse of this message, the Lord says that Israel has done evil deeds since the day it was taken out of Egypt. How many have also done bad things, even after understanding the Word, surrendering to Christ, and committing to serve Him forever? God knows that we are weak and still fall into transgression; therefore, we need His help to not stray from the faith. Therefore, never think that you are better than others, for, in truth, it is the Lord who helps you!
We can never entertain the idea that we do not need the Most-High to protect us and live without sinning. It's like Israel stated: “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; (Psalm 124.2,3). This statement fits well with our lives. God has the greatest interest in our well-being, which is why we love Him with our whole heart.
Why do some make the decision to leave the Most-High, without considering His love for us, which is far greater than any affection we dedicate to Him? Nothing is greater than the Lord and His love. With the power of the Holy Spirit in us, we are stronger than the enemy (1 John 2:14; 4:4). God gives us life, and life in abundance (John 10:10b), even if some people turn against us. Divine love is true and never changes.
We are better than the Israelites when they strayed from the Truth; at least we have not served other gods, who are nothing but lying demons. Our faith is only in Jesus. With Him, there is no deception, lie, or delay (John 14:6). His faithful servants will go to the end, without changing a single word of the vows made to the Lord. We need nothing more!
Whoever abandons the Lord destroys themselves and, if they die without reconciling with Him, will have the lake of fire and sulfur as their eternal dwelling. You will not be given another opportunity (Revelation 2:4,5). Love God with all your heart and stand firm in the Word. In this way, faith in Christ will dwell richly in your heart (Colossians 3:16). Those who have the Lord as their Commander never lose battles!
Totally mistaken are those who fail to seek the Most-High and instead look for evil spirits to solve their problems. God spoke of Israel the following: “For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water (Jeremiah 2.13).
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Lord, Fountain of living waters! Why did the Israelites choose lies when they could have called upon You and changed their lives? We only have full life in You; the only thing the devil can give is death.
We want the water from the Rock, which transforms into a great lake, where Your people and proselytes taste of Your wisdom. Jesus said that we could drink from the water He gives us, which fully satisfies us!
We have the same chances as Israel to be guided and satisfied by You. Some thought that was not enough, so they went lost in the deceptions of the devil. We don't want that. Teach us the Truth so that we may never let the enemy lead us away from You!
