BY REVELATION HE MADE ME KNOW

How that by revelation He made known to me the mystery, as I have briefly written already

Ephesians 3:3

The grace of God and Truth—the main pillar of Paul's life—came through Jesus, as revealed to John: For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1:17). Meditate on these two virtues of the Most High, which were brought personally by the Son of God, the Savior. Paul spoke of divine grace, which had been hidden until Christ came into the world.

Grace is not only an undeserved favor, as theology explains, but also the biblical foundation for the Lord's work on behalf of those who have surrendered themselves to Jesus. The Master performed all His works to teach us what it means to serve Him. Unfortunately, however, mankind invented the idea that the wonders performed by Christ were only to show that He was the One sent by God. But that is not true!

Imagine the days of the Savior on Earth, healing the sick, having compassion for others, and demonstrating all His power over struggles and sufferings, which are the same as ours today. Today's sick people are not interested merely in knowing that the paralytics of Jesus' day, as well as the blind, deaf, lepers, mutes, and other afflicted people, were healed by the Master, but rather that they too can be healed.

Perhaps many think that God hides His power. Those who think this need our prayers, for they will have to account not only for this lie, but also for the harm done to those who suffer. Why would the Lord do that? Has His purpose changed? What kind of Father is He to His children? What kind of diabolical doctrine is this that they spread throughout the world? Jesus spoke about these people: Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves (Matthew 23:15).

Sometimes, preachers who proclaim these untruths live in a diminished way, with empty churches and empty lives. Since people do not see divine signs in the lives of these preachers, they become envious and continue inventing things to deceive their flock. Consider the example of Jesus' ministry: Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased (John 6:2). Would they have followed Him without the signs?

The Savior prepared 12 disciples and sent them out two by two to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons (Matthew 10:7–8). Then another 70 were used for the same purpose (Luke 10:1–9). Why didn't Jesus wait for those “enlightened ones” who reinforce what He said in Matthew 23:15? He said that He sent His beloved disciples into the midst of wolves (Matthew 10:16). Never go against the Word of God.

Paul said that this mystery was revealed to him by the Holy Spirit, who reveals all things to us. In fact, we would know nothing about the Lord if it were not for the work of the third Person of the Trinity (John 14:26). He is the other Comforter who will go with us to Heaven at Christ’s return. He glorifies the Son, and the Son glorifies the Father.

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Father, Author of all things! It is wonderful to be Your child, for You will keep us until the end of time. When Jesus returns to Earth, we will be among the saints who will go with Him to witness the defeat of every representative of Satan.

That Day will be glorious for those who persevered to the end in doing Your will, not giving themselves over to the things of the world nor to those of the devil. This being who fights to take us away from Your presence will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where he will remain forever.

May we speak of Your mystery as is fitting, so that the world may abandon the works of the evil one! Teach us to fulfill Your purpose. It is good to serve You according to Your plan. Amen!
