You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name.

Deuteronomy 6.13

Respecting the Lord is the beginning of a victorious life, and this attitude will bring you many joys. However, those who prefer to disrespect the Lord are in the hands of the enemy and, therefore, will never know the Most High: Because they hated knowledge and did not prefer the fear of the LORD (Proverbs 1.29). A man raised away from his parents normally has the desire to know them, because it will fulfill him. However, some don't!

The fear of the Lord present in a person's heart will make them hate evil and react with indignation when they are invited to do something wrong. Now, if they let the devil take over their actions, they will soon become full of pride and consider themselves better than others. There are those who dress in arrogance and prefer the wrong path. How bad it is to meet people with perverse mouths! The Most High does not tolerate false words (Proverbs 8:13).

A person who does not fear God will never be able to respect Him, because divine power will not be at work in them (John 15.5). The Scriptures say that fearing the Lord is the beginning of His working in you: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is prudence (Proverbs 9.10). The Bible is a course in the science of God for those who wish to learn God's teachings on earth (Deuteronomy 29.29).

A being capable of doing what the Lord does will never be born. God is the only Almighty Creator. His Word speaks of the respect to be directed to the Most High: The fear of the LORD increases days, but the years of the wicked are shortened (Proverbs 10.27). Woe to the wicked who does not believe in the One who created him. Rebellion will cost him dear!

Men need safe shelter from the storms, both those that angry nature sends through the world and those created by Hell to harm them. Darkness needs to be rebuked in the Name of Jesus. Our safety has already been provided and is guaranteed by the holy Word, which says: In the fear of the LORD there is confidence, and he will be a refuge for his children (Proverbs 14.26). Respecting what God says is the best deliverance!

The enemy comes with his fiery darts when we are careless, but salvation lies in fearing God and following Him. The act of revering Him is a source of life that loosens the snares of death: The fear of the LORD is a source of life to preserve from the snares of death (Proverbs 14.27). Why not use the good medicine provided by the Lord to draw us closer to His unconditional love?

To sum up everything we've seen so far: we must respect our heavenly Father in order to live well, without falling into the snares of the evil one. Be firm in your decision to walk only with the revelations of Scripture. In this way, you will be preserved from the traps used by evil to dominate the world (Romans 8:31-39). No power is greater than believing in the Lord!

           In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

God of our lives! We have come from You to represent You in a world full of wrong things, so we must follow Your guidelines and do everything as You tell us. Today, we prostrate ourselves before You to have victory!

Father, we want to serve You! We will never use the enemy's offerings, because we know that they are sent to steal, kill and destroy us. We will call on Your Name over the works of hell and see it retreat!

By Your Name we sign our victory over what tries to wipe us off the map. We are trees of justice planted by You to heal the world of evil, leading people to make amends with You. You are our Feast!
