Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of Your judgments

Psalm 48.11

Mount Zion represents the Church of Jesus and the place chosen by David to build his fortress. David left the mountain to protect Israel from intruders and always returned to his people with another victory against the enemy's attack. The Church of the Lord has this mission: never be defeated. We have the power to defend our brothers and sisters and bring the news that we have overcome evil!

Rejoicing on Mount Zion did not mean telling funny stories to make people laugh. It was important for them to know that their enemies could do nothing more against God's people. Every Christian is a witness that the Lord never loses a single battle. What happened to the heroes of the Old Testament serves as a model for what must happen to all who are saved!

Every battle in which the Israelites participated proved that God was with them, and this must happen to us as well. Those who are under attack from the devil must go to the Church of Christ, and for the glory of God, we must be well prepared to give the enemy the lesson he deserves: defeat. We cannot allow the people to be helpless, because that would contradict Jesus' promise.

When the Master said that the afflicted and oppressed should come to Him, it was not so that they would be entertained with false promises or accused of not having faith. Now, if we have a message from the Lord for the people, it is our task to teach unbelievers that they need to hear the Word of God in order to acquire faith (Romans 10:17) and use it.

The daughters of Judah symbolize the churches that will open with God's anointing and take on the promises of the Most High. Then we will see houses of prayer everywhere. We cannot allow them to become places of religious philosophy. If we plant the good seeds of Scripture, we will have a great harvest. We must be vigilant, because the enemy is a master at sowing weeds!

The judgments of the Lord are all the declarations He has made about us, like decrees in our favor. Christ's victories over evil practices are eternal judgments. We did not live in the day when the Savior died in Jerusalem, but we believe that all suffering has already been undone in Him. Therefore, when evil arises in our lives, we must reject it.

As we live out the reality of the New Testament, we will see Mount Zion rejoicing, and the daughters of Judah glad because of what the Almighty has already declared about His Church. Let us live the reality of salvation, for the Bible says that it is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3.16).

Today's Prayer

Eternal God of love! When we read in Your Word that You have loved us so much, our hearts are encouraged and ready to expel from our territory every spirit of sickness or sin that came with the mission to kill, steal, and destroy us.

We want to see Mount Zion rejoicing in the biblical understanding that Your people have achieved to no longer yield to temptation. There is no way Satan and his evil army can defeat us, because in Christ Jesus, we are free!

The daughters of Zion—every congregation, every home, and every saved person—are witnesses of Your victories over the kingdom of darkness. The devil has been stripped of the dominion he had over Your people, and now we can say, "Thank You, Father, for we are redeemed from the fall!"
