Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and He will destroy its sinners from it
Isaiah 13:9
The Lord is eager to free us from the clutches of sin. Therefore, He prepared 12 apostles and sent them to preach the Good News, in preparation for the Day that will bring liberation to humanity. Now, Jesus warns that the time will come for Him to return to the world to reward each one according to the good or evil done through the body (2 Corinthians 5:10) and to bring earthly life to its appointed end. Everything that will happen is recorded in the Word!
Before the return of Christ, the Church must reach the countless corners of the world, for He conditioned His return on the preaching of the Gospel throughout the earth. The Lord declared: And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14). Note that He used the demonstrative pronoun this, so that everyone understands which work must be done. Watch and pray!
The work of missionary organizations alone does not fully align with the Master's guidance. The expression this gospel includes what was done by Him here. The healing of the sick, the deliverance of the oppressed, and the salvation of the lost complete the divine order. The work that aims solely at the salvation of the soul is not enough to say that everyone has seen what is necessary. For the end of the world to come, it is necessary to preach the complete Gospel!
The Church cannot mutilate Christ's commandment by diminishing the order given by Him. Whoever acts in this way falls under the condemnation expressed in Revelation 22:19: and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Many will not be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven for mutilating the Holy Scripture. To God be the glory!
The Day of Christ's return will be terrifying because of the power that will be demonstrated to the disobedient. It is incomprehensible how, in the past, some people set aside part of the ministry of God's miraculous works. Why did they do something that the Lord did not ask for? Why stop helping the sick and oppressed when He gave us power over diseases and demons? (Matthew 10:8).
When people participate in a service where the Word is preached, and God works wonders, healing the sick and casting out demons, they are amazed and know that He was there, because without His presence, no one would be set free. Missionaries must carry the power of the Most High everywhere. Thus, people will hear the Word that works these blessings and will surrender to Christ.
The Scriptures declare that the return of Jesus to the world will be terrifying. Those who are not yet saved will see the King of kings in the following way: For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Thessalonians 4:16). What a great day that will be!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
God of final victory! This special event for Christians will be terrifying for those who reject the chance to reconcile with You. It is hard to understand how some can reject Your works, which do us nothing but good. Why do they do this?
Your glorious Day will come for those who love You. However, for those who despise You, it will be nothing good, for they will be sent to the eternal fire. Our redemption will take place at Your return, and there will never again be demons around us. We thank You, Lord!
We are taught that Your fire will melt all the elements, but before that, Your Church will be in Glory, from where it will never leave again. May the King of kings come to take us to the heavenly realms of light, peace, and holiness!
