Leave your fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let your widows trust in Me

Jeremiah 49.11

This is a message addressed to those who discover that their priests have strayed from the Truth and are transmitting teachings contrary to the Bible. They are like the blind leading the blind, who will eventually fall into the pit (Matthew 15.14). Leave the "prophets" dead and be kept in abundant life (John 10.10b). It is not God's wish for a child to be miscarried or a woman to be barren; besides, He promises to fulfill the number of our days (Exodus 23.26). This is the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven!

The Lord, in a very clear language, says that we should leave the orphans with Him. This doesn't mean that we won't try to provide for the family's needs in a holy and just way, nor will we scramble to find the resources. God asks that He be given the opportunity to provide what is necessary for you and your family to continue living according to the best standard. He knows how to take care of those who take care of themselves!

Many people get desperate and do unimaginable things. When the situation is complicated, the best is never to declare that you don't understand the Lord, because He wasn't the cause of the early departure of the breadwinner, for example, or of any other misfortune. You can't say that the deceased was sinless, or that the Most High failed to keep His promise to keep him alive. We don't know God's plans (Romans 11.33,34), but there must be cases in which God takes away someone so that they don’t get lost!

It's not good for the person who suffered the loss to blame the Lord for that death. We don't know why the loved one's life wasn't preserved, so why blame the Most High? Furthermore, the reasons for this departure to eternal life will not always be revealed to us. That's why trying to find out won't help; in the end, we'll see that God never makes mistakes or acts out of revenge. He is pure love!

The Lord will keep the orphans alive: this is enough for us to believe that the children will not be touched by the enemy. In this way, if any of them contract an incurable disease, the shepherds will be able to bless them with faith and assurance, and the Most-High will stretch out His hands to the sick person and heal them. Therefore, it is wrong to let despair flood your heart and act contrary to the biblical norm.

The Father's declaration to keep orphans alive is wonderful! This is the greatest guarantee that there will be no premature deaths. Believe me: He who promises is faithful to fulfill His Word (Hebrews 10:23). Suppose a father died prematurely, God gives us the security of not accepting any harm, nor saying that it is normal for this to happen to everyone in the family. Nothing is further from the truth than blaming family ancestry, because it is unbiblical.

The guarantee that the Lord will fulfill His promises is given by their history; after all, none of them have failed to be fulfilled by the Father. There is no deception in God! What He announces certainly comes to pass. The widows will trust in the Most High, and He will honor them. So, obey His ordinances and be happy forever!

           In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Mighty God! We can live under Your protection. Even if one of the parents has died prematurely, this does not mean that the family will break up, because if we leave the orphans in Your hand, You will protect them!

This is a comforting promise: if evil befalls an orphan and threatens them, as it did one of their parents, You will take action and prevent a tragedy from occurring. We will fear nothing, as long as we trust in You. Father, look at the orphans in this house!

Finally, we will see that the widow will trust You completely to help her care for her family. It's good to know that we can do everything based on You, who strengthens Your people. Thank You for comforting us with Your Word and Your most holy Spirit!
