DO NOT BE AFRAID BECAUSE OF THEM

But the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire”
Joshua 11.6
One day, the greatest alliance was formed - a coalition of kingdoms - to go against Israel and destroy God's people. How foolish! How could they stand up to those who had the Lord as their Commander and the heavenly armies to protect them? Sinners who try to harm God's servant will see that their strength is nothing in the face of the enormous power of the Most High. They will rise and fall!
It seemed to be the end for Israel; after all, those kingdoms were determined to put an end to the Lord's plans and would spend all their fortune to thwart God's dream. However, they didn't foresee that God was and would continue to be with His people (Psalm 46). Man can bring the whole world together, but when the hand of the Lord is at work, nothing will be done. Heaven's judgments will never perish, but will be fulfilled in the lives of those who believe that God is the Truth!
Joshua was told: Do not be afraid of them. Therefore, absolutely nothing would thwart Israel's kingdom. God explained why Joshua and the people should not fear the threat of those nations. The Lord Himself would undo the evil plans against the children of Jacob. The Most High said that, on the following day, nothing would bother them, because He would help them. Make sure that nothing stands in the way of Heaven's action!
What can hinder the Lord from fighting the enemies of His people is unbelief and sin. In those days, there was no such thing in the ranks who suffered so much on their journey through the desert, because when they sinned, divine punishment would soon follow. God would not accept losing one of them. Israel was ready to see the action of the Most High, showing that He governs everything. He who has power can say yes or no. He says: I am Almighty God (Genesis 17.1b).
The Most High was clear: I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. The war was over for them and for anyone else who wanted to suffer before the Consuming Fire. In your struggles against evil, get right with the Almighty, and you will find that the devil's snares will not withstand the divine breath. Even the wicked will crumble to dust when Jesus blows in their direction (Isaiah 11.4; 2 Thessalonians 2.8). Wait and see how much the heavenly Father loves those who love Him!
The Israelite army's mission was only to cut the tendons in the horses' feet, so that they wouldn't lead their opponents. If the Almighty had given that land to Israel, would He allow the adversaries to rule there? Of course not; after all, the Lord keeps His promises perfectly. The enemy would never bother the Israelites again, but they had to walk in God's presence, without committing sin, doing what was right for everyone.
The enemy's chariots of iron would be burned with fire and never used or repaired again. When Jesus defeated the devil in his house, He rendered useless all his ability and that of the demons to oppress us. Don't fear evil and set out to overcome your afflictions!

Today's Prayer
God of precise revelation! You told Joshua not to fear the alliance made by the lost against Your people, because You would show Yourself as the Man of War, who loses no battle. The coalition of nations would be no match for Israel!
We can rest in Your promises, for the united forces of darkness will not defeat us. When the day came, You annulled all the damage that the kingdom of darkness would cause. Now, we must celebrate and continue serving You!
You wasted no time: You set the day for the completion of the work, with those who gathered to attack Your people, throwing them to the ground. You would slain them all before Israel, and they would never be able to get up again. You will do the same for Your children today!
