Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not
Luke 17:9
When the Most High opens our understanding through His Word, we take our first steps in the spiritual life. At that moment, we are like children, who still lack full revelation but already desire to speak about God’s love. Knowledge of the Scriptures fills us with the joy of the Lord, which is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Therefore, those who are at the beginning of their Christian journey can already be considered tomorrow's victors!
Those who do not obey God give the enemy room to enter their lives, bringing all kinds of problems and hardships. For this reason, such people will not be successful. Those saved by Christ have something in common: a willingness to lead the lost to the Light, and they are rewarded even for offering a cup of water in His Name. (Matthew 10:42).
The Lord does not thank the servant who carries out the work; however, those who fail to do it will be held accountable for having done nothing to relieve the suffering of people who could have been converted and escaped eternal suffering. Failure to obey God's commandments proves that your prerogatives are not God's. As a result, you fail to enjoy the Father's love (John 14:21). It is better to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
Every revelation of the Word that comes to your heart should be understood as a command from God to seek understanding, pray about it, and make use of your right to be blessed. We must always pay attention to what the Lord tells us, for it will surely benefit us. A servant obeys Jesus, so be that person at His disposal and love Him with all your heart and all your soul (Mark 12:30).
Leave any reward the Lord has for you to receive on the Day of His return, when He comes to take the Church. Why demand retribution for any of your actions if it is automatic? This is a lesson we must learn so that we do not pray all the time asking for grace. As you understand the Word, resolve to go into the presence of your heavenly Father with gratitude and taking possession of the blessing. God's response is immediate!
It is good when we devote ourselves to keeping the Master’s commandments, for that proves our love for Him. By doing so, He will also love us, and thus our future will be glorious. Why stop loving the One who has given us such great honor, as the Bible says: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8.14)? Being a child of God is a permanent condition.
Let us fulfill the Lord's commands, then we will have the glory of being called children of God, brothers of Jesus, our Savior. In the same way that we serve Him, we will be served, and this is of utmost importance. Believe in God and obey His commandments. To Him be the glory now and forever!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Father, Author and Finisher of Faith! We thank You for all that You do for us, giving us the privilege of being called Your children. Our hearts say that we are Your servants, ready to fulfill Your holy will!
Consider us Your servants and teach us to do the work as the Savior did. With this, we reaffirm that our lives are at Your disposal. We refuse to live according to the desires of the flesh and choose instead to follow You with joy!
May Your hand lift us into the position of people who love You and obey Your plans. Nothing in Your Word needs to be changed or improved. We are grateful that You have made us members of Your family!
