They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness

Psalm 111.8

The author of Psalm 118 was used to speak to us about the works of the Lord. In verse 6, we learn that God showed His people their power. Now, we can believe that the deeds carried out today, through Christians, likewise demonstrate His power. Moreover, the Most High gave His people the inheritance of the nations, and this is offered to us as well. In fact, we can receive even more from God!

In verse 7, which we studied some time ago, we saw that the works of the Lord's hands are truth and justice. Therefore, those that He claims as His were truly done by His hands. It is entirely true that man's works do not even come close to those performed by God. They are also infallible, for they are covered by His glory. We need to believe more in the Lord!

Verse 7 also emphasizes the faithfulness of the divine commandments. Thus, we can believe that the Lord's commands will be fulfilled. Seek more of the One who has much to offer you; after all, God's storehouse, besides being filled with endless treasures, is an invitation for you to exercise faith with wisdom from Above. He is faithful!

Now, in today's verse, we learn that the divine works remain steadfast – no one will shake any of them. The Lord's gaze is always upon the whole world; therefore the enemy will never be able to shake the wonders performed by the hands of God. Be steadfast in your faith in Christ when praying, claiming your blessing or commanding evil to depart.

It is impossible for the Lord to do anything using lies as a means, because He is the absolute, unchanging, and eternal Truth (Malachi 3:6). All people born in the Spirit and in the Word must remember that they were recreated in Christ and should never use the enemy's strategies. The recreation of the saved was accomplished in Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Believe!

There is no flaw in God's actions, for He acts in righteousness, and the Righteous One is the blessed Savior, who went to the cross and descended to the lowest parts of the Earth, Hell, overcoming the power of the kingdom of death (Ephesians 4:7-10). There is no longer anything to fear, for whoever believes in the Lord has His nature. We should never retreat in battle, because everything was done in our favor. We are the recreation of the Father!

When Jesus returns to end everything in the Universe, the elements will be dissolved with the fire brought by the Lord (2 Peter 3:10). We will ascend with Him to eternal Glory, but woe to those who never cared about the work of Heaven; they will go to the lake of fire and brimstone and remain there eternally (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Revelation 20:11–21:8). God is on the side of all who love Him and do His will. Thus say the Scriptures: Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Luke 21.33). Maranatha!

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Lord of eternity! We came from You and should return to You, but that is not what we see among the people of the world. We need Your unchanging power, because this strength will keep us steadfast in the love we owe You. Help us, Father!

We are the work of Your hands, for we were made by the Holy Trinity and are guided by Your Spirit. Therefore, we ask forgiveness for our sins and the virtue that will give us the patience necessary to serve You in spirit and truth!

We cry out for Your irresistible love so that we may accomplish the great work already announced in Your Word: taking the knowledge of Christ to the nations. We want to carry out Your command faithfully. To that end, we ask for Your help, peace, and holiness!
