EVERYTHING HAS ITS TIME

Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem.

Luke 9.51

Everything Jesus did during His time on Earth was an example for those who believe in Him. From the beginning of His ministry, the Master showed us how to act in every situation, so let's meditate on the words of the Son of God and His actions in order to follow in His footsteps. Then, when we have completed our career, we will remain firm in our purpose to go to our Heavenly Home, our well-deserved rest. However, before that, we must always fulfill justice!

Never give in to the deceptions of the world. Thus, you will complete the days of your mission with great success, until you receive the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4.6-8). It is true that while we are in the world, we will have afflictions (John 16.33), and often even those who should help us end up harming us. However, this should not discourage us. As we get to know God's way of doing things, we should imitate Him by turning away from sin.

During Christ's ministry, He didn't stop going where He was supposed to, speaking the Truth and teaching about how to serve the Father. His commitment to obeying God's plans was total, without being led astray by the bad examples of those who lived alongside Him. All those who love the Lord must live in the presence of the Father, without giving way to the devil. The right thing is to draw near to God, and He will draw near to us (James 4.8). Believe!

One day, we will complete our calling, but until that time comes, we must strive not to leave the presence of the Most High and waste no time in doing good to all people. The Father will use us in such a way that we never leave room for the enemy to accuse us (Philippians 2.15). We are Jesus' witnesses, so there's nothing better than always being ready to obey His commandments.

It's not good to let hurt, hatred and resentment dwell in your heart, because it's not a place for the devil, but for the Holy Spirit. No matter what they do to you, be a good witness to the Truth you embraced when you accepted Christ. If you give in to Satan, it will lead to eternal death. To stop following the Word is to bow down to the enemy, who is a liar and evil (John 8:44). Bow down before the Father!

When you understand God's will, stick to it and start doing it. In this way, you will see that you must remain steadfast in your faith in Christ. After all, whoever loves God is loved by Him. On the other hand, he who abandons Him can cause Him to go back on fulfilling the Word, which promises never to abandon His own. It would be good to take some time to be alone with the Lord and talk about everything you feel, do and don't want to do anymore. Jesus is waiting for your decision.

The Savior expressed His firm intention to go to Jerusalem, where they would kill Him. Now, the fact that Jesus was going there was a good thing, because it was already part of God's plan for Him. Don't run away from your God-given mission, nor do anything to shorten your departure. Understand: the Most High has to be your Lord until the very last second and then, on the other side, He will welcome you with His eternal embrace.

           In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Lord of our destiny! Before we came to know You, we lived like fools with no chance of being saved and happy forever. But now that we've accepted Your plan and become Your children, we can't go back to darkness!

Forgive our mistakes, which are many, but all this only happened because we left You to live like the lost. How did we allow evil to overtake us again? Now, with Your forgiveness, we will do Your will again!

May our next days, months and years be the best! Consciously, we bend before the Truth to serve You and fulfill our mission. We thank You for Your patience with us and for blessing us!
