FAMILY’S SECRETS

But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples.

Mark 4.34

The revelations the Lord has to give us are like family secrets. Man has never known them and will only know them through divine mercy (1 Corinthians 2:14). God's family among men is cracking. Until recently, accusations against each other's way of believing were not heard from any evangelical denomination or from members of different churches. This proves what Christ said: And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars and this will happen among the saved also (Matthew 24.4-6a,10,11).

As we are part of the Lord's family, we can be sure that the secrets of the Most High will be revealed to the righteous, but there are many people with no fear of Him who have been put in charge of some “works” that foment divisions among the saints. This should never exist among those called by God. Why be used by the devil to assert what you think is your right? Who did the Lord set up as a divider of rights between us? (Luke 12.13-15).

God doesn't make revelations to all people because many don't give Him enough credit. We can expect divisions, accusations and sedition in the divine work, for this was predicted by the Savior when He said: And ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’  (Matthew 10.36). There are corrupt individuals in our churches too, acting as the worst sinners do in their dens. What will they do at the judgment seat of Christ? (2 Corinthians 5.10)

There are also those who say they don't want to know the Lord. How can we understand this attitude? Why don't they allow Him to teach them about what will make them wise and successful in their faith in Christ? Ambition for other things is present in many lives and they don't see the abyss in front of them. Why don't they get right with the Most High while they're on the way? (Luke 12.58). Watch and pray!

It is obvious that the Most High would not withhold any revelation that could help us. On the contrary, God wants us to have wise hearts to do His will, as He said: My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself; (Proverbs 23.15). The only remedy for facing the infernal attacks that operate on many fronts and act wrongly in the name of the Gospel is to fear the Lord and surrender to Him, according to the Word (Ecclesiastes 12.13,14).

When we reach a spiritual position in which the Lord comes to bestow blessings on everyone, we don't even need to pray about it. Taking hold of what He speaks to us is the right attitude after revelation. God has already heard and given the means to deliver us from suffering. So all we have to do is believe in order to glorify His Name and enjoy His promises. In Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:31-39).

The verse we are studying guarantees that everything will be declared to us in private for our joy. To those who suffer attacks on their honor, the Holy Scriptures declare: If the spirit of the ruler rises against you, do not leave your post; for conciliation pacifies great offenses. (Ecclesiastes 10.4). Never turn away from God's Word!

Today's Prayer

God of the work! How can we not understand what is happening in the world, if everything has already been said by Jesus? We have Your grace that is sufficient for us, so we will never bow down before the servants of the evil kingdom. Your faithfulness will never abandon us!

We are grateful that You speak to us in private, giving us the right direction on what to do to go all the way. Without a doubt, we will rest in our luck. We must silence our spirit, so that You may show the power to open the sea and take us to the other side safely.

It is good to have the comfort of Your Spirit, when everything starts to fall apart. Your love and comfort will protect us from the wickedness of those who sell themselves for a few coins, as Judas did. Your Word is the basis of our faith and resistance in love. We want to know You better!
