Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee

Luke 17:11

It is beautiful to study the way biblical writers express themselves. This process took place over a long period, beginning about 3,600 years ago and ending around 1,900 years ago. It is good to know that the biblical statements were addressed to our lives. Therefore, we are delighted to consider ourselves children of God, recreated in Christ, to give the world the testimony that will prevail for eternity. The Lord is unmatched!

We do not know exactly where in Israel Jesus was at that moment, but as He traveled south, the Savior passed through Samaria and Galilee. Well, Samaria was between Galilee and Judea. The Lord knew the reason for detours, for shortening or lengthening the route, for He always followed the direction He received from the Father. We are usually busy and act foolishly, but this does not come from the Father. The Master lived in peace!

How many brothers in Christ, for example, have been left maimed, with irreversible consequences, because they drove recklessly, disregarding the speed limit on the streets? However, they can be healed if they seek Jesus. We live in a time when men have been directing God's work, and it is no wonder that many have become religious.

We must be doers of the Word, loving God and remaining within His plans, so that we may see the same works Jesus performed taking place today. Therefore, never bow to evil threats or fail to serve Christ with joy (Psalm 100:2), for this is how He wants to see you acting, and not complaining about everything. God hates murmuring!

Going to Jerusalem in those days was like returning to the time of King David, who was fearless and brave, discerning in speech, and skillful in playing the harp. (1 Samuel 16:18). In addition to these characteristics, David's strength was in God, and for this reason, the Lord was with him and made him courageous. The constant presence of the Most High made the son of Jesse a warrior. There is nothing better than being taught, guided, and anointed by the Almighty. He truly loves us!

The Most High used the young David to free Saul from the demon that tormented him, but this deliverance was incomplete because Jesus had not yet come into the world to destroy the works of the devil. However, when we accept Jesus into our lives, we become children of God and, consequently, we can put the evil one where he belongs: under our feet. Servant of God, rise up to do the work now!

Wherever God takes you, go with faith and love. Nothing will hinder those who know they have been anointed to do the Lord's work. Stay alert so that you are never defeated by the enemy. Flee from sin and remember: No power of Hell can stop the work that God has begun in your life. Your time is now!

Today's Prayer

Beloved Lord! We are privileged because You have mapped out our path. Thus, we can be certain that no evil will befall us. Furthermore, the person who suffers any attack from the kingdom of darkness will be set free through faith in the Name of Jesus!

You are the Reason for our calling. Before the worlds were created, You had already prepared our mission for us. For this reason, we will never stumble over any stone. In the end, we will be received by You to live by Your side eternally. You are our Father!

We are happy to have been called by You to do Your will and, at the same time, to be recreated in Christ. Forgive our failures and do not let us fall into any trap of Hell. We thank You for the glorious Name of Jesus!
