GOD AGAINST HIS PEOPLE

I Myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger and fury and great wrath.
Jeremiah 21.5
Why do some people decide to stand against the Lord if He is the Almighty? The devil has zero chance of winning this fight. Jesus has already defeated him in Hell itself, taking from him the authority stolen from Adam, with which he was oppressing us (Colossians 2:12-15). Today, we are well informed of our rights and so, when threatened, we should go into battle without fearing anything: Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).
In Jeremiah's day, the ruling elite of Judah decided to despise God's Word, and the Babylonians, who had devastated Israel, attacked the rebellious children of Jacob. It was the divine hand working against their rebellion, and it lasted 70 years. The Bible talks about the antichrist who will come with power to dominate the whole Earth, because man has decided to fall into his hands (Revelations 13). There are countries and big businessmen who are preparing for the coming of the man of sin.
The Eternal declares that He will fight against the rebels with His hand outstretched, and this means a great opening for the false prophet to lead those who reject Jesus to defile themselves in the worst way (2 Thessalonians 2.9-12). Then, when they are worshipping the madman who is to come, Christ will return and destroy him with His breath: And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming (v. 8).
By attesting to their leader's falsehood, the lost will desperately cry out for forgiveness and make promises, but because they have rejected God's patience in giving them what they need, they will not be heard. They will see the splendor of the Lord's second coming and move around, crying and begging to be accepted, but it will be too late. The wise must seek the Savior now, because at His return, no one else will be saved (Luke 13:24-28).
The strong arm of the Most High will be too heavy on the antichrist, and everyone will witness his destruction. Then, when they see that there is no way to find someone who can stand up to Jesus and His power, they will cry out for mercy and will not be heard, because they have despised the Master's warnings. Salvation is more serious than people think. The person who despises the Lord thinks they can deceive Him, but that will never happen!
He will come with indignation on those who exchanged Him for the liar sent by the devil, who indulged their desires, providing them with an easy life, sin at will and no commitment to God and His work. Those who choose the wide gate and the broad way will be condemned to eternal torment. Today is the day of salvation; therefore, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as at the provocation (Hebrews 3.15).
Jesus' return will take place after man turns more and more to sin, disregarding the biblical warnings. God calls him to repent, and his iniquities will be blotted out (Acts 3:19). Unfortunately, many who follow me and read this message will go astray and be lost forever. I pray for their salvation now!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
God, who calls us! Many reject Your invitations to change their lives, and that's not good. They need to take action now to have their sins forgiven and be transformed. Father, look at us and help us, for we long for You!
As Jesus taught, deliver us from temptations and from this evil world. We long to be in Your hands, from which no one can snatch us. But those who don't want to believe in You today will later see Your glory and feel that they made the wrong choice. May they turn to You right now!
We want to see You fighting on our behalf, not against us with Your hand outstretched in wrath, indignation and fury. We need to return to Your arms of love and persevere to the end without being surprised!
