The earth was the Lord's, and so was the healing, if people used the balm. Today, anyone is healed if they confess the holy Name of Jesus: Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven (James 5.14,15). This power heals the sick and forgives their sins!

At that time, people with health problems used the balm of Gilead. The news spread in such a way that the sick sought to use it because of its effectiveness: Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them (Matthew 4.24). Can this happen again today?

Jesus commanded us to heal the sick. Once healed, they will be able to repent of their sins and attain the salvation available to them. We can even impact the whole world, for the Word states: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1.8).

There is a current of false teachings that entered the Church shortly after the apostles died. Such thinking instructed us to be "nice," gentle in speech, so that Christ and His doctrine would be accepted. Around the year 150 of our era, there was a preacher named Montanus, who was forbidden to use faith to heal the sick. The "wise men" taught that the Church had to abandon the power of God and study to refute the Roman apologists.

The Roman Empire worshiped various gods, demons revered as doers of good. The apologists were educated and spoke bad of the Christian faith because the empire they served was polytheistic. On the other hand, the Church even managed to raise some "Christian" apologists, who defended the monotheistic faith, but without the guidance of Heaven. In fact, they should have used the same "weapon as Jesus: the operation of wonders.

Jesus was the Strength of the Lord's head, not Ephraim. This symbolized the Christ who would do the same works. Moreover, the Word is the Lawgiver: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves (Matthew 23.15). Believe in God, do His will, and praise Him continuously!
