The Savior showed great contempt for the devil's threats. After all, who is the evil one to intimidate the Almighty? While the disciples realized their mistake, Jesus slept in the stern of the boat. Never fear the traps of the dark empire, because nothing will harm you. Whoever is in the hands of the Almighty will never be frightened by what Satan says or does. We are guarded by the real God!

The person who fails to pay attention to the Lord will see Him sleeping on some forgotten pillow somewhere. Many have never witnessed the manifestation of God's power, which is why they have been unable to rid themselves of evil. Have you understood that accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord means giving yourself body, soul and spirit to Him? If He is not your Redeemer, He will be nothing to and in you.

How can anyone sleep in the middle of a storm, with a boat full of water? Well, that's nothing to God. Look at what King David recorded: Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You (Psalm 139.12). The Most High is not affected by the things of the world, but He can and will give us the deliverance we need. Wasn't it He who was in the fiery furnace (see Daniel 3)?

God's presence at our side prevents the forces of destruction from working on us. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we speak like gods. The divine attributes at work in our lives are extremely powerful and, with them, we can overcome any temptation. Even if, at first, everything seems to defeat us, we will always be more than conquerors (Romans 8:31-39). Believe and live!

On the one hand, the disciples were in a lot of trouble because, in taking the Master as He was, they hadn't thought about the consequences. But when they found themselves in trouble, they woke up the Master, saying: do You not care that we are perishing? Isn't that what many saved people ask? How many say they can't stand it any longer? God wants to make us understand what we never thought we would. He is our Father!

When the mind takes over, we find no place for God in our hearts. Now, when His voice and His love reveal themselves to us, our spirit receives the divine message and begins to operate. We have seen this happen in our evangelization campaigns around the world. The Lord wants to work powerfully in our lives, so we need to have faith in His Word; without it, we act like the lost, who have never heard of the Savior!

The disciples almost accused Jesus of being evil, without remembering that they had put Him in the boat the way the Master was. Never let the spirit of independence take over your life. Christ declared: “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15.5). So what will you do?
