You have dealt well with Your servant, o Lord, according to Your word.

Psalm 119.65

In the Scriptures, we find many people who received goods from the Lord; however, those who lived before the Calvary did not have the opportunity to enjoy the Kingdom of God among humans. This was brought by Jesus, who prepared disciples to go into the world and spread the Good News of the Gospel (Mark 16.15). At His first coming, the Savior healed the sick, cast out demons, and His grace gave the assurance of eternal life (Matthew 4.17; Luke 10.9). What a privilege and responsibility we have!

Those called to be part of Christ's ministry can preach the most awaited news to every creature: we no longer have to suffer the onslaughts of evil. Those sent by God are already beginning to do the same work carried out by His Son, announcing that Jesus has freed us from the empire of darkness and given us the power to carry out our mission. He who believes and is baptized will be saved (Mark 16:16).

How good it is to go to any nation, gather people together in one place, and tell them that they can be healed of their illnesses, including the pain of conscience regarding any wrongdoing. If they believe, they will be set free right away. Jesus' message is the only one capable of freeing those dominated by evil forces and of healing the sick (John 8:36). It's beautiful to see the oppressed being set free!

The psalmist prayed to God to do him good. Well, the Lord always does good by healing people, setting them free, and saving them. For this reason, we must give the Father due glory, because He thought of humanity when He announced that His goodness belongs to everyone (1 Timothy 2:3, 4). Anyone who believes and takes the place that Jesus has granted them soon sees their problems disappear. We must live the truth, which is Jesus.

No one in the world is outside the work done by Christ (John 3:16). Be sure that the power of the Most High will work in anyone who hears the gospel when they are overwhelmed by the worst evils. If we dare to teach about the healing of the sick and the deliverance of the oppressed, we will soon see many restored to good health, freed from addictions, and transformed into the saved by Jesus' substitution.

No matter the problem, our God is greater than any oppression by the evil one. When we pray, we must do so in the certainty that the captives will be set free. When we meet the sick, we must guide them to listen to Christ's message in order to be healed. The devil can no longer oppress those who heed what the Lord says in His Word. We are ministers of the Kingdom of Truth, so believe and go forward in faith.

We can act like the Savior, when he announced to everyone that the Spirit of God was upon him, had anointed him, and sent him out to preach the gospel to every creature. In this way, the afflicted came to him and were cared for. Without a doubt, we will witness the power of the Lord at work in these people, just as Jesus did and ministered. Be firm in your faith and use your authority as a servant of our Father to do good too!

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

God of Good News! The world expects more from us, so we ask for Your wisdom and virtue to help the lost find You and follow You. We cry out for Your guidance in every situation!

You do good to Your servants. This is a truth known to those who seek You. Your love fills us more and more to serve You in spirit and in truth. Your love constrains us, and Your virtue equips us with power and knowledge!

All that we obtain from You is granted to us according to Your Word. We pray for more of Your presence so that we can show the lost ones the way to the blessing. We must serve You better because we have been called to do so. We thank You, Lord!
