My soul melts from heaviness; strengthen me according to Your word.

Psalm 119.28

Not reading the Bible or meditating on the Lord's message is like not eating properly. If we avoid certain foods because we don't like the way they look or the way they sound, as children do, we will weaken our bodies and become ill. We will also become weak if we avoid certain biblical passages!

When the soul is sad, there is a lack of interest in life. Then come depression and other ailments that will prevent us from carrying out even ordinary chores. That's why you should never let illnesses arise, even those that you consider powerless to work in your life – they can become incurable to human eyes. Depression arises when you feel discouraged or feel bad about something someone has said. Distance yourself from the crises by nourishing yourself properly.

The best nourishment comes from the Word. Now, if the Christian is grounded in it, no demon will be able to remain in those who live in communion with Heaven. The saved one has the outlet of seeking the Lord and finding Him when they meditate on the Bible. Don't be deceived by evil, which wants to kill you: But Jesus answered him, saying “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” (Luke 4:4).

Depression is hell's favorite child. Without joy, you harm your home and yourself in a tragic way. Why consume yourself with sadness when you can be content in any situation? The Holy Scripture speaks about joy: Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time (Revelation 12:12). Rejoice in God!

The psalmist asked the Lord to strengthen him according to His Word. So always observe the instructions of the Scriptures, because at the right time, you will rise up with the saints of God and make a difference. This is the declaration of the Most High: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). Therefore, never fear the enemy. Believe in the Lord!

God is with you, so even if the evil threatens you, the Greatest will be by your side. With Jesus, your life will be illuminated, your problems will be solved and your strength will be renewed. The Lord says that you shouldn't be dismayed, because in the end He will give you strength and uphold you with the right hand of His justice. So hold on to God's promise, lift up your head and go forth to victory. You are invincible in Christ!

Finally, read this beautiful exhortation from the Almighty: Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer (Romans 12.12). God has declared that He will come and bring us to heaven, and we have this beautiful hope! The Lord told us to be patient in tribulation, because Hell cannot touch our lives. The Father ended this threefold advice by saying: continuing steadfastly in prayer. Do this and you will see that He is faithful!

Today's Prayer

Faithful and true Father! We will not let the enemy consume us with sadness, nor let his bad mood reach us. We are members of the Body of Christ, so we will never give the devil the satisfaction of touching us. We are guarded by You at all times!

Our soul rejoices in You. Nothing can take us from the path of righteousness or divert us from living by Your side. We rebuke the demons sent to harm us. We will not look at them or listen to them!

We are being strengthened by Your Word, which leads us step by step closer to You. We thank You for giving us Your Holy Spirit, with whom we will succeed in every struggle. God, be glorified in us!
