Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’? I might have taken her as my wife. Now therefore, here is your wife; take her and go your way.”
Genesis 12.19
Pharaoh was convinced of his mistake, but at the same time, he tried to pass himself off as a good person, placing the blame on Abraham, who had only told half the truth. The king could have confessed that it was wrong to fall in love with Sarah. Now, his cautious attitude of sending part of his army to escort the patriarch Abraham out of Egypt showed his fear of what God would do to him if anything happened to those “siblings.”
At the Judgment, we will see many people who, in life, had beautiful and wise spouses, were prepared to rule cities, states, and nations, and were applauded by the world. However, in reality, they were corrupt and will pay dearly for it. God will wipe away every tear from the eyes of the oppressed; therefore, while there is still time, seek the Lord, and He will help you in all things. God is good and faithful!
God does not want to cast anyone into Hell to suffer for eternity. If condemned to this punishment, the person will never be freed from it. The Lord wants to save all who are lost through the work of Jesus done in His death. The apostle Paul explained this in Greece, among the philosophers: Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17.30). Make sure of your salvation now!
Pharaoh confessed that he had not touched Sarah, but that he could have taken her as his wife. Now, in this he was mistaken, because, without a doubt, the Most High would not allow such an act. If it happened, the king would be killed the moment he touched the Lord's anointed. How many have done similar things and are no longer among us? We will see this in the reckoning on the Last Day. Strive to go to Heaven, because everything is prepared to welcome you there!
Four hundred years later, when Abraham's heirs became slaves in Egypt, a man took them out of there, as had been prophesied. The exodus was permitted by the Egyptian king; after all, the plagues that fell upon his nation were a sample of those that afflicted Pharaoh in Abraham's time. Five hundred years later, Moses, by the power of God, sent terrible plagues upon that country because of the worship of false gods. The Lord knows how to measure His actions, so that the pharaohs of today allow good people to live with dignity.
In one thing Pharaoh was right and said to Abraham, “She is your wife.” Don't be like the Egyptian king, who was almost condemned forever. He was freed from that demon of adultery. The Lord wants to help you live civilly among men, abandoning practices that will lead you to eternal suffering. Your life can change now if you pray to the Almighty and make things right with Him. God will grant you salvation!
By aligning yourself with the Word of God, anyone can be washed in the blood shed by Jesus. Those who believe will have their sins forgiven and be completely acquitted (Colossians 2:13-15). Take the step to receive purification from your sins by accepting Christ as your Savior. Don't put it off, because it may be too late!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Dear God! You see everyone's heart and know each person's thoughts and intentions, even before the voice that seals the fate of its author is formed and uttered. You judge us perfectly by absolute, real, and pure Truth!
Excuses are human, as demonstrated by the passionate king of Egypt, who was fascinated by the beauty of Sarah, a woman around 70 years old. Let this be a reminder to all, so that they do not fall into the snares of the cruel enemy. You see everything!
Your action against the king was carried out in due measure and at the right time. Pharaoh counted the days, hours, and minutes to lay his hand on Sarah, but he despaired over the things that afflicted him and his family. He stopped dreaming about his mistake so as not to be struck down! Thank You, Father!
