Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.

John 4.26

In the past, before Jesus came into the world, God spoke to us in different ways, as the Bible shows: God who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son (Hebrews 1.1-2). Today, the Son speaks to us by the Holy Spirit through the revelation of the Scriptures: He will glorify Me, because He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you (John 16.14). Wonderful holy Unity!

One of the Holy Spirit's missions is to guide us into all Truth, as the Lord stated when referring to His coming: However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak of His own authority; but whatever He hears, he will speak: and He will tell you things to come (John 16.13). There are many things to learn in order to walk in the Truth. We need to be close to Christ in order to be instructed and guided!

It's interesting to note that Jesus was talking to the Samaritan woman, of whom, as far as we know, there were no good references. According to their culture, decent ladies didn't go to the well at that time to fetch water. But in the course of the conversation, we see that she was better informed than most of the people, because she spoke to the Son of God: I know that the Messiah is coming (who is called Christ). When he comes, He will tell us all things (John 4.25).

By revealing facts about the woman's life that only she knew, Jesus showed that He was the Messiah she had been waiting for. In the same way, He wants you to know Him; after all, without Him, you will do nothing (John 15.5). When someone is inclined to learn from God, they stand out from anyone who is considered successful. Those who know the Lord live differently from other people and can use the power from on high as the Master did. This new servant of the Most-High lives God's best!

Christ spoke of Himself, and of us too, when He promised: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3.20). Heed these words and open the door of your heart so that the divine hand can remove all evil from your life. Jesus is the only one capable of making you a great blessing to humanity, but you have to want to and let Him be Lord of your life.

Don't hide anything from Jesus. He knows everything you've ever thought or done, and that's why He can save you. Don't ever want a “patch” in your works, but real change. You have to be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven (John 3.3-6). So, make the most important decision of your life. Then everything bad in you will be thrown out and burned up by the unquenchable fire. You will become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5.17)!

When you feel God's love at work, open up to the Father, confess your mistakes and ask Him to cleanse you completely. In this way, the Lord will work on your behalf. Don't plan anything; meditate on the Word and discover how to be pure and holy like Jesus. Leave sin behind and be victorious in everything. The Master says: I who speak to you. Believe and live!

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Eternal God! Today is a day of change in the life of this person who prays now and asks forgiveness for the sins that defile them and the evil dreams that allow the devil to make his home in them. Forgive them!

We can't live without Jesus, without Your love and without feeling Your Spirit leading us. Those who think they are holier are learning that self-righteousness is worthless, so they cry out for Your mercy. God, we thank You for Your zeal!

May You be the one to speak to this person who has just repented of the iniquities they have committed, which have ruled their life until now. Your Holy Spirit will guide them, transforming them into a faithful servant of Yours. Amen!
