And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land of which the Lord swore to your fathers.

Deuteronomy 6.18

Humanity was heading for chaos. People only thought about what they could have and, as a result, the fear of the Lord was not in their hearts. If they continued this way, they would be the doom of all (Genesis 6:1-12). Noah, a man who didn't give in to the enemy, began to look for a way out in God and found the direction that no one else knew: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD (Genesis 6.8).

In our days, there are Christians taking the path of sin. Many stop seeking holiness because they consider it unimportant. On some pulpits is preached that anything goes between four walls, but God doesn't say that. He says that you should do what is right and good in His holy eyes. Practicing something contrary to nature is an abomination, which is why the people of Noah's day perished, and then divine judgment reached Sodom and Gomorrah and the kingdom of Judah (Romans 1:26).

In churches, there is almost no talk of sin. If pastors talk about it, people will disappear from the church. But does it matter? We are called to do God's will and not that of sinners. They need to hear that there will be the Last Judgement, when they will give an account of their iniquities (2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelations 21:8). We must lead the lost to divine grace. Condemnation will come to our relatives who see no problem in sinning. Watch out!

Those who do not do what is right and good in the eyes of the Lord will suffer the consequences of their actions. Those who imitate the world walk the path of the lost and rebellious. If they don't repent in time, they will go to the lake of fire and brimstone with no way back. These people can no longer see their mistakes. There is nothing worse than seeing God's loved ones embracing the devil's lies.

Unfortunately, the Land of the Gospel doesn't interest them. They are like the sinners who saw God's angels and wanted to abuse them, but were blinded and began to wander around, not knowing why this was happening to them (Genesis 19:1-11). Many agree with the followers of the abominations condemned by God, who will condemn them eternally. Sin blinds and destroys those who love it!

The penalty for those who break the Lord's commandment will be no mercy, as it says in Deuteronomy 17:1 - 5. So, get right with Him so that you can be forgiven and your evil desires removed from your spirit. Never play with the Truth, because there will be harsh punishment for such acts. The spiritual coldness we see in the hearts of many is proof that they have already sold out to the devil. Mercy!

Doing what is right will bless you and your children. Failing to act as the Scriptures recommend will lead you to the bars of the Last Judgment, to receive the just and infallible sentence from the mouth of God. Be wise and turn to the Lord who will forgive you and make you and yours the blessing that Jesus bought for humanity. Believe and live!

Today's Prayer

Beloved Lord! Your gaze is kind to those who understand Your words and turn to You. By this decision, they will become Your children. Your love is unchanging and unconditional. We only have to accept Jesus to be free from perdition!

You have promised that good will come to us if we do what is right in Your eyes. We need Your help not to commit ourselves to sin or be condemned to eternal torment. Help us, Father!

We want to enter and possess the Promised Land, the understanding that will change our lives forever. Open our eyes to see Your truth. The response to Your love will bring us happiness in heaven.
