I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

John 17:4

Jesus came to Earth for multiple purposes. One of them was to die and rise again to justify us before the Father, removing the guilt that weighed on everyone because of Adam's sin (Genesis 3). Although Christ never sinned, His sacrifice was necessary so that we could be reconciled with the Father and not be separated from Him. The Son of God came to glorify the Creator, completing His work on the cross. Those justified by Him will go to Heaven (Romans 8:30).

The greatest mission left by Christ to His disciples was to proclaim the Gospel: the Good News of our complete salvation (Romans 5:1,2; 8:1-4). Those who accept what He did on Calvary are restored to the Father, and when Christ comes to gather His Church, they will live where God reigns (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) and will never be disappointed again, because in Heaven there is no evil. The Lord is faithful!

Sin had disconnected us from fellowship with the Almighty, but Jesus, Salvation Himself, reconnected us to the Father. We were made alive together with Christ (Ephesians 2:5). Now we can say that the enemy will never again have us in his clutches and his evils will not cause us to suffer, because the Son of God has already suffered for us. However, we should not think that we no longer need to read the Bible or watch and pray, because we are saved. We must watch all the more (Luke 21:36)!

When He was on the cross, Jesus was in agony because all the evils of humanity—the sicknesses, pains, transgressions, and iniquities that we would have to suffer—were placed upon Him. The Scriptures record this moment: So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. (John 19:30).

Later, when giving an account to the Father of His redemptive work, Jesus declared that it was finished (Isaiah 53:4-12). Everything He had been given to do was done. That is why the Master called us to go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). The Father was satisfied with the Son for having completely fulfilled His mission. We must take hold of this work!

Our task is to preach the Good News to the lost, doing God's will with love and dedication. There is nothing to lose or to be withheld. We only need to claim the Lord's promises with the faith that is given to us by His Word (Romans 10:17). The lost and the sick need to learn that they can be saved, healed, and live free from the evil caused by evil spirits. We are free!

Nothing else needs to be done by us. Now, we must dedicate ourselves to understanding what is available to all those who listen to the Word of the Lord. It says that Jesus took our sufferings so that we might enjoy health and other blessings purchased with His blood. Christ is the Truth of God in action. Receive Him as your Lord and Savior and be saved now!

Today's Prayer

Lord of Truth! It is good that we can serve You in spirit and in truth. Only through this act will we be saved forever. You are all we need to live in Your presence. We thank You for Your grace!

We want to glorify You every day, bringing the Truth, the Gospel, to those who thirst for Your Light. Then, we will see them freed and ready to be with You in Heaven. Our liberation from the infernal forces was total!

Every day, we fulfill our mission. We will see the lost being redeemed, surrendering to Jesus, invoking His Name and thanking You for Your immense love. We are grateful that You have called us to do good to all!
