Then beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Deuteronomy 6.12

God's deliverance of the sons of Jacob, who spent 430 years outside the Promised Land, must never be forgotten. It is symbolic of the time when we were slaves of Hell and therefore sinned. We were not even aware of Jesus' work, which freed us from the empire of darkness. Then the Gospel was preached to us, and we left the world and its errors to give ourselves to Christ (Colossians 1:13,14).

Today, we enjoy love and forgiveness, and we no longer have a conscience accusing us of transgressions committed consciously or not, because we have been born again (Romans 5:1; 8:1). We are now new creatures, superior to tempting spirits. Our strength lies within us, to be used in the Name of Jesus. In this way, we can be free forever from the devil's destructive power. To Christ be the glory!

The Lord tells us clearly how we must act to maintain our deliverance and salvation: Only take heed to yourself and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren (Deuteronomy 4.9). So never go back a millimeter, but go forward to the end!

The devil brings temptation to your soul and, because you give in to it, the door of your heart is opened for him to enter and carry out the destruction orchestrated by Satan. Don't forget everything you have seen in the Gospel, which gives you the blessings provided by Jesus in His death. May they never depart from your heart! Let your children know this. That is the Heavenly order!

By failing to keep the commandments, even those that seem unimportant, you forget the Lord, your God, Protector and Guide. If this happens, many problems will arise in your life and family: Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments and His judgments and His statutes, which I command you today (Deuteronomy 8:11).Read up to verse 20.Watch out!

Preachers need to deliver all of God's message, without fearing the displeasure of the people and their removal from the Father's house. However, such ministers must know that the Lord of the Church is God, not them: “Thus says the LORD: ‘Stand in the court of the Lord’s house and speak to all the cities of Judah which come to worship in the Lord’s house all the words that I commanded you to speak to them. Do not diminish a word (Jeremiah 26.2).

Our responsibility is great! If we walk in fear and trembling before the Highest and obey Him, we will see that His yoke is easy and His burden is light, as Jesus declared in Matthew 11.30. Serving God means doing His will and not our own. We must never turn away from His Word, but love it with all our heart. We are servants!

Today's Prayer

Lord, our holy Deliverer! Your Son's work for us was definitive, taking us out of the devil's clutches and transporting us to the Kingdom of peace and love. We are freed and commanded to free as many as You send us.

We thank You for Your commandments. We must keep them in order to be found faithful to You. Deliver us from the temptations of the flesh and from false friends who come to tell us lies by the orders of the evil one!

We want to devote our lives to You, living to love You and do Your will. In this way, we will lead many lost people to Your eternal Kingdom. Deliver those whom the infernal king convinces that You do not exist, causing them to lose their blessing. Mercy, Father!
