Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children
Isaiah 66.8
Before going into this precious lesson, let's understand God's will for the eunuch who was reading Isaiah: He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. (Isaiah 53.7). At this, the eunuch asked Philip: “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” (Acts 8.34).
Starting with this passage, Philip led the eunuch to Christ, even teaching him about the value of baptism. Then the Bible tells us: Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” (Act 8.36). The thirst for the Truth in that man's heart was so great that, when he learned about Christ and the importance of baptism, he wanted to be baptized. Anyone who learns about this ordinance soon begs to go through it.
Unfortunately, because they don't study the Word, some people undervalue the act of baptism, claiming that it is trivial. John the Baptist refused to baptize Jesus because he said, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” (Matthew 3.14). But the Master answered him, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. (Matthew 3.15). Baptism is the essential testimony that we are saved (Matthew 16.15). Believe and be baptized!
Philip's reply to the eunuch resolved any doubts: Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” (Acts 8.37). He was baptized, and saw Philip no more, who had been caught up: Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing (Acts 8:39). Now, if Philip hadn't obeyed?
Water baptism buries your old nature. When you accept Jesus, you are born again and, with that, you must get rid of the old person corrupted by sin and come out of the water to walk in newness of life (Romans 6.4). In addition to these two blessings, you are stripped of the body of the flesh - the inclination to iniquity - and the body of sin that dominates you. You receive the circumcision of Christ and the remission of sins (Colossians 2:11). If you want to fulfill all righteousness, get baptized!
The world is waiting for the true children of God to appear, people who have divine love and are willing to do the Father's bidding. If Philip had been cowardly, fearful and timid, he wouldn't have gone to the deserted part, on the road from Jerusalem to Gaza. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4.24). So start doing the will of the Most High now. The devil will do everything to make you disobey, but refuse his advances and go all the way.
The Church of Christ is born in every convert, in a lightning operation carried out by God and independent of human deadlines. It's time for Zion to give birth to her children! In this way, the heavenly Father will be honored and glorified in Christ Jesus. Do your part, because no one can do it for you!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Lord of the Church! It is beautiful to see Your work, snatching people from sin and leading them to Your Kingdom through Your faithful servants who said yes to You. We are grateful because You love us and, one day, You also saved us from perdition!
Your work in us is not finished. Each day, You desire to make us Your instruments to rescue others from darkness. We had no hope, but Jesus came and paid the price for our redemption, so we were completely saved from Your wrath!
As beloved children, we can confess and live the new reality in Christ. You gave Your love and forgiveness, recovering us to be pillars in Your Kingdom of love and peace. Your decrees are trustworthy and operative, and we can call You our beloved Father!
