For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified.

Romans 2.13

The Law of Moses came to put an end to the reign of death, as the Scriptures declare. However, few people would be able to free themselves from the condemnation of conscience and obtain the certainty of eternal life. So the only way was to fulfill all the requirements of the Law, but this was not possible without the work to be done by the Messiah on earth. The greatest certainty for those who fulfilled the Law was that they would be justified. Today, only grace justifies man!

In the letter to the Galatians, Paul talks about the Law of Moses, saying that no one would be justified by it: Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified (Galatians 2.16). The easiest thing is to be justified before the Lord.

Anyone who wants to please God and therefore listens to the law, striving to be redeemed, needs to learn about divine grace. The Bible gives very different guidance from religious teachings, which say little about the grace of the Lord brought by Jesus Himself: For the law was given through Moses; but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1.17). These two truths were so important that they were revealed by Christ!

Paul begins the basic verse by saying that hearing the Law of Moses did not give the lost the certainty that they were righteous. That's why, before Jesus came into the world and offered to take on our sins, the Lord's servants of the past, when they died, didn't go straight to Heaven but waited for the Messiah to come and make the eternal change in them. They looked ahead, and, after being resurrected, they were taken to Glory by Christ!

The gospel is the perfect law of liberty, and those who believe in it don't need something to go to Heaven, but trust in the Word on this matter. It states that even if people practiced the precepts of the Mosaic Law, they still needed to be righteous. That was reserved for the day when the Savior would cross the abyss and reach them with the Good News. Jesus has already done that, and so, full of happiness, they set off for the kingdom of Love.

People today need to learn that nothing more needs to be done about the eternal happiness and love they embrace when they hear about Jesus' resurrection for the redemption of humanity. By converting, they are admitted as children of God and cleared of guilt because the price of redemption has been paid. Therefore, seek to know your rights in Christ and practice divine justice so that you are a new creation. This is what God proclaims!

When Christians understand this biblical declaration, they will live victoriously and will not stumble over the stones placed by the enemy during their walk with Jesus. Flee from error and never want anything offered by the devil. From now on, you have been cleared. Nothing the devil sends you should be accepted, but rather rejected with all firmness of faith.

           In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Beloved Lord! It is good to know that we have been justified by the act of Jesus on the cross, in our place; therefore, we enter the battle to come out with complete victory. You have made us free indeed. We are grateful for this work!

It's not enough to believe, but also act as You declare. Nothing and no one will stop us from living the new spiritual reality. We are what You say about us, so we decide to win and give You true praise.

You are the Judge of the Universe, the Sovereign! We will become what You say we are, have what You say belongs to us, and live as Your word says is our position in all things. We will do everything for Your glory, honor, and praise!
