The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints

Colossians 1.26

What did the coming of the Messiah mean? What power did He manifest to humanity, and how should we proceed to appropriate the solution to our problems? Well, Jesus came to restore man's communion with God, to free those captives to evil spirits, to heal the sick, and to give us life in abundance (Luke 4:18,19; John 10:10).

Scripture already contained more than enough information to help people draw near to God and find a way out of their dilemmas. Prophets and kings desired to see what we have seen, but they could not, because the mystery of Christ had not yet been revealed to them (Luke 10:24). However, when the Word became flesh, He walked from city to city, from village to village, throughout Israel. Soon, the news about what He came to do spread, and everyone was able to witness the coming of the Savior.

People were divided. When they saw Jesus perform miracles, the poor and the simple surrounded Him to be blessed, and many were healed of their diseases and delivered from evil spirits. It was the beginning of a work that would shake the world and never cease. Meanwhile, the Jewish leaders continued to teach religion, and divine power was not manifested among them.

Jesus, however, chose 12 disciples and sent them to various places to minister blessings, heal the sick, and free the oppressed (Luke 9:1-6). This caused Christ's relatives to come to Him with ropes to bind Him, for they thought He was out of His mind for freeing the people from the forces of evil (Mark 3:21). The Messiah was revealed, but He was almost silenced by His family.

Later, Christ sent out 70 disciples, who were being prepared to also proclaim the Gospel, and told them to heal the sick. They were amazed, for in the name of Jesus, even demons came out of those they oppressed. Then the Savior gave them power to trample on demons and all the enemy's strength (Luke 10:1-19).

Finally, Jesus sent those who followed Him to go into the world and preach the Good News to the lost (Mark 16:15), showing that the mystery was no longer hidden and that everyone who converted to Christ could and should do the same. After all, He was crucified and died, but on the third day, He rose again and commanded that this be done. Go forth, Church!

The words of the Lord will never pass away (Matthew 24:35; Luke 21:33). That is why we have gone to the darkest places on the planet to preach the Gospel, free those bound by demons, and heal those who are sick. Many people have joined us because they have seen the manifestation of God's power.

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

God, who reveals the mystery! Using Your power is not everything, but a part of the work begun by Your Son when He was among us. We are grateful for such goodness and generosity, as well as for the disciples scattered throughout the world. You are our Help!

We want to continue using the power of Your Name to free those who are in the hands of the king of evil. With Christ, the devil can no longer hold people captive to drugs, sin, and witchcraft.

We hope to see the great revival that will shake the nations. Your power is far greater than that of Hell. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, and You will never cease to work miracles in those who believe in You!
