We are going to study the Son of God, who came to save us and to be our Savior, High Priest and Shepherd. He promised us: And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28.20b); therefore, He will never abandon us. The Lord is not like the priests of the past, whose mission was to intercede on behalf of those who came to them. The High Priest intercedes for those who seek Him and for other people, so that they may hear the Word and be saved.

           The priests of the past were weak in themselves, but Jesus is perfection in strength and holiness, because He never knew sin. He created all things, fulfilling the Father's determination. Since the Savior has made us kings and priests to God and His Father (Revelation 1:6), we have the responsibility to reign, obeying His will. The Lord made us in His image and likeness (Genesis 1.26,27).

           We cannot condemn the Law of Moses for calling imperfect men to be priests, for it was part of God’s plan. After all, Jesus had not yet died, so that there would be a class of men capable of resisting the devil and his temptations. It was only after the coming of Christ that people were no longer bound by sin and could stand against temptation without falling into the devil’s snares. God is greater than the onslaught of the enemy, so resist him and you will come out of the struggle stronger!

           Jesus proved that he could be made an eternal Priest because the devil tempted Him and found that he could not gain victory over Him; even in his thoughts the Master did not sin, as the Bible states: For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4.15). May this be said of every person saved today, for God's sake!

           In the verse under study, the Gospel is called the word of the oath, in which God swore by Himself and fulfilled it in His Son, who did not let Him down. We can believe the Lord's statements in Scripture, for it is the pure Truth (John 17:17). If someone receives an understanding of the biblical promises, they can believe that the Most High has destined that revelation for them and will fulfill it, if they simply believe what He has said. Whoever believes will see the glory of God (John 11:40).

           The word of the oath constituted the Son of God as the perfect Priest, and this will last forever. Many people say they love the Lord, but don't want to go to church because they think it's fanaticism. In fact, they haven't yet seen the glory of the Most High or tasted His love. Now, when we know the Truth, which is Jesus, we simply become operators of divine blessings (John 14:6).

           Anyone who stops going to church excludes themselves from being among God's people, and this is extremely serious. The eternal home of a person who is not in Jesus, and He in them, will never be Heaven. In this case, everything becomes serious because God has destined this place for those who want to be “fanatics” (Hebrews 10:25; John 3:36). If you are in this situation, repent, because this talk is deceitful!
