And when Herodias’ daughter herself came in and danced, and pleased Herod and those who sat with him, the king said to the girl, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”
Mark 6:22
At King Herod's birthday party, there was not a single servant of God. In the palace, everyone enjoyed the sensual dance of Herodias' daughter. Herodias became the king's wife, ceasing to be the wife of the monarch's brother. Where God is not sincerely invoked, the devil is present. Flee from such places! We were not created to give the enemy our greatest asset, our soul. It must be given to the One who created us to do good!
From the moment we invite Jesus to dwell in us, we must pay attention to the revelations of the Word, for we are no longer subjects of Satan. There is nothing better than living surrounded by the Truth, speaking of it all the time and glorifying the One who planned us, watched over our formation, and gave us life to be the extension of His hands (Psalm 139:13–16). There is no reason not to do the Father's will.
The request for the death of John the Baptist, who had come to prepare the way for the Savior, occurred during the celebration of the wicked Herod. There, everything was unfolding just as the devil likes it. Carnality reached its peak when the daughter of the adulteress Herodias entered the scene and danced provocatively. The king became so exalted at the sight of her that he must have even forgotten that her mother was present!
He could not contain himself and promised to give the young woman whatever she asked for. How foolish! Why make such a promise because of a dance? But those who are servants of the devil do not measure their words, and in order to win over certain people, they subject themselves to all kinds of whims. At that moment, John the Baptist's fate was sealed. Satan controlled the situation, using the young woman to break down the king's resistance.
Everyone who witnesses erotic dancing in places where carnal acts prevail is being prepared to carry out the evil one's intentions. The same is true of someone who attends a séance where spirits are invoked; such a person does not return empty-handed. Evil spirits will accompany the “happy” ones, leading them to live below the level of morality and dignity that God gave mankind. “We are not made of iron,” they say, and they are right, for they become prey to the spirits of sin!
Those who participate in the celebration of the Good News of what Jesus did for mankind can open their hearts to the Holy Spirit to reveal God's will. By believing what has been said, the paralytic will walk, the blind will see, and the sick will be healed. Grace has been granted to us through Christ to move among us, giving everyone the desired and lasting healing (John 1:17). If you have already received a blessing and evil has returned, rebuke it!
See what a difference! At the feast of the flesh, adultery is born, the fate of the innocent is sealed, and the devil is glorified. However, where the Holy Spirit works, only the power of the Most High is seen, freeing the oppressed, healing the sick, and saving sinners!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Lord! We want to participate in celebrations where You are the center of attention. The proclamation of Your words gives light and guides the lost to live in the Truth. Keep us away from celebrations of lies!
Jesus went to the pool of Bethesda to teach us to do good, even when no one cared about the afflicted—those who struggled to survive and wished to destroy themselves. You have new life to give them!
Pity those who are at the feast of the flesh, of lust, and of everything that corrupts human beings, nourishing and poisoning them with what is evil. Father, raise up Your people to live holy lives!
