And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him

Colossians 3:10

There are countless blessings awaiting those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior. However, many are still unable to understand everything that the Father has prepared to give to those who make the decision to be saved. Can a lack of this knowledge take away someone’s salvation once it has already been accomplished? No. However, such a person will live below their rights in Christ the Lord. That is why we must know the Truth!

Many do not live in a way that pleases God because they have not clothed themselves with the new man. They have not yet been renewed in the knowledge of the Lord. We must believe that, having accepted Christ as Savior, we have become new creatures: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are new in Jesus!

There are servants of God who have already put on this new man, but do not believe they can overcome the stumbling blocks raised by the enemy. Some refuse to live by the Word that says: Everything has become new after they were saved. Because of this, they live under a cloud of indecision, focusing on their sins. Now, if anyone sins, all that is needed is to acknowledge the error and confess it, in order to be forgiven and cleansed from the injustice committed (1 John 1:9).

The new man has new attitudes and is renewed through them as he embraces the knowledge gained from reading the Bible or hearing the preaching of faith. Whenever he hears how much it cost Christ and believes in this truth, he lives better before God, and his faith is strengthened. As a result, he no longer fears the attacks of the devil and drives them out of his life by the command given in the Name of Jesus. The Word sets you free (John 8:32)!

Each revelation in the biblical writings is like a portrait of who God is to you. There is no way for the devil to prevent the Lord from showing you the “portraits” you have seen of Him, for the Scriptures say that we are renewed in knowledge, according to the image of the Creator. Over time, you store so many “images” that the Bible shows of Jesus that they become part of your future in Him!

The Bible says that we must grow in faith to reach the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). For this reason, no one should submit to the condition into which they were born, as if it were God’s destiny. The Word gives us an example of this in the story of Jabez, whose name in Hebrew means “born in pain”. In 1 Chronicles, chapter 4, verse 9, it is written: Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” He was transformed!

Jabez observed how the Lord worked and called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:10). Those who learn to cry out will truly be transformed!

Today's Prayer

God of our transformation! It wasn't just a whim of Yours to clothe us with the new man, changing our way of being, transforming us from defeated to victorious. Nothing will stop us from fulfilling Your plan, so we want to honor You!

Because we are new creatures, we can no longer accept the idea that we must suffer evil in order to please You. On the contrary, we want to be renewed in the knowledge of who You are to us and of what we can be in Christ. Beloved Father, help us!

We want to be in Your image, for You are our Creator and Re-Creator. Adam’s sin harmed us, but the righteousness of the second Adam has regenerated us. Nothing and no one will prevent us from being one in Christ, just as He is one with You!
