Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.”

Ezekiel 36.38

God knows all things, so it's good to learn from Him about His promises and the means He has provided for us to enjoy the abundant life brought by Christ, who said: “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15.5). Anyone who doesn't seek the Lord is wasting time and resources. Watch, pray and believe!

The Most High said that He was doing a work in the sons of Jacob, not because of them. Although they had heard about the promises and believed that they concerned them, they didn't cry out for their rights, because they didn't stand on them. Many people who are considered saved don't bother to examine the Scriptures and so they live poorly. They spoke of Jesus and they speak of us too. So if we don't know them, we will never achieve what belongs to us in Christ.

The Israelites sanctified themselves for special occasions prepared in the city of Jerusalem by the priests or the king. They took these occasions seriously and came as a sanctified flock to hear the Word of God. In fact, they were the flock of Jerusalem, who believed in everything the Lord promised them. In this way, they delivered the country from problems and struggles. Their eyes were always fixed on the Most High, so they were tremendously blessed.

The Lord has promised to be with us as He was with His people in the past (Matthew 28:20). However, many do not listen to His voice, which wants to convey His important message. When the Word is preached, there must be total silence, so that no one misses the message coming from the Father's heart, capable of setting the devil's captives free. The Most High is the same God as in the days of the patriarchs!

We can only be interested in God's direction. If we don't have the proper preparation to understand His plan, which is simple, easy to learn and put into action, nothing good will come of it. In the same way that the Lord worked wonders in the past, and the people were freed from their oppressors, He wants to work on our behalf today. Because we face temptations, we are invited to listen to the ministry of the preacher, who prayed and was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

We have to get right with God so that our cities are filled with families who recognize Him as their Shepherd, Protector and Priest. We will stand before the Master with wisdom and readiness. Thus will come the times of refreshing promised by God through Peter at Pentecost. The divine promise is meant for us and for all those whom the Lord calls (Acts 2:39). This is our hour of blessing!

When you are right in the Father's presence, doing what pleases Him, you will see that the promises will be fulfilled automatically, if you call out for them. The saved will know that Jesus is Lord, the Sovereign over everything that concerns us. Don't be left out of God's will. Include yourself in God's group of overcomers. He is our Strength!

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Lord, Sanctifier of the flock! It is a pleasure to learn some of what You have done for us, teaching us to avoid the devil's lies. Believing in Your Word, we can tell the enemy to leave, taking everything that is his far away from us. It works!

As part of the sanctified flock, we will be in the same position as Israel was before You in the past. Even in the smallest everyday things, You helped them and that's why they were able to achieve feats. You live now and forever to teach us and help us!

Jesus said that we will also live as He did. This promise was greater than they could think and receive. You use the same measure You used with Israel to warn us against the devil, who is cunning and always has a plan to prevent our happiness.
