For all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever

Genesis 13:15

In the Old Testament, the blessing was material, so the Israelites had to set foot on the land and see it with their physical eyes, claiming it as theirs. In the New Covenant, however, you need to see by faith—understanding through the Word of God—what belongs to you. The verse that stands out to you during your reading or while listening to the preaching of the Word will help you discern what your “portion of the land” is and take possession of the promised blessing.

In Genesis 13:14, we read: And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward. All the territory he could see would be given to him as an inheritance. Nothing has changed regarding what the Lord offers us. Abraham had to lift his eyes to see what would be shown to him. God does the same with us in the spiritual realm.

It is very important to observe what the Lord shows you; otherwise, you will be left without the blessing. As time goes by, living with Him, believing in His Word and obeying it, you will learn what is yours through the revelation of the Holy Book. Then you will be able to claim something as yours and you will have it. The Father gave Jesus direction so that He would do the same as Him. We have received the same love from Heaven.

Brothers and sisters who refuse to study the Word do not know how much they are missing, for the Truth sets free only those who know it (John 8:32). Those who do not seek communion with God will never be able to have the understanding He desires to give them and will live without enjoying their rights in Christ. Why are some not interested in knowing what will open the door of blessings for them, if it will cost them nothing?

When He spoke to Abraham, God had not yet given the understanding that He would later grant to those saved by Jesus. Today, He has already given us everything that concerns us; so we must see it and claim it: as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, (2 Peter 1.3). When you receive the revelation, take hold of it and praise God!

Understanding the Word is the land granted by the Lord to those who love Him and keep His commandments. Open your eyes to see it, and then take possession of it. In the Word, there is power to accomplish what God declares. David did this when he went into battle against Israel's adversaries, who were marching to destroy everything the Most High had given them. Believe, pray, and live!

After understanding something in the Scriptures, act, because God did not give you the revelation by chance. It is Heaven's answer for you to get to work. Our struggle is different from those fought by David against his people's enemies. Today, it is the unclean spirits that attack us to try to defile our minds and lead us into sin. Watch!

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Father, Giver of eternal blessings! We thank You for protecting and strengthening us. The enemy always comes with new attacks, so we need the understanding that comes from You to solve problems. All things are possible for You!

Open our eyes so we may see the greatness of Your love and our responsibility to put the devil in his place: under our feet. You will do what You have said, crushing whatever arises to take us away from Your holy presence.

We are grateful for the promised land, which will never be taken from us, and for arming us with the strength necessary to live righteously. Your love constrains us and strengthens us in faith in Christ. This is one of the reasons we love You and glorify You!
