SHE ASKED THE WRONG SOURCE

So she went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” And she said, “The head of John the Baptist!”
Mark 6:24
Truly, only lies come out of man's mouth. If we are not grounded in You, we will never be able to free ourselves from the forces of the kingdom of darkness, which constantly try to pull us away from our position in Christ. Many have left the Lord after being tempted by the beauty of someone other than their spouse, and now they regret what they have done, but they do not confess it and thus walk toward perdition!
The stage was set. On one side was the evil king, whose lust found something in the dancer that pleased him so much that he made an irresponsible promise. On the other was a young woman who, from one moment to the next, could rule half of that kingdom, since Herod's word could not be changed. Sometimes people take actions that embarrass them!
The young woman probably thought she was facing an opportunity and could not escape her decision. Thus, instructed by the devil, she sought her mother's guidance on what to ask for. Well, she asked the wrong person. Her mother, besides being foolish for leaving her husband, was spying on John in order to kill him. The prophet loved that soul, so he said to the king: “It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife.” Mark 6:18.
John the Baptist did not invent this phrase, which he repeated day and night to Herod. No matter how much Herod sought him out, wanting to justify himself, the servant of God would not change his words, for he spoke as he had heard from the Lord. It is dangerous to want to change Heaven's answer and be swayed by excuses. When we sin, we must confess our sins and ask for forgiveness in order to be accepted into the Kingdom of Truth (1 John 1:9).
One abyss calls to another (Psalm 42:7), and Herodias didn't even blink. She saw her long-awaited moment arrive, because even if the “love” of her life paid for yet another crime to be committed, seeing John dead was all she wanted. That demon-possessed mother immediately advised her daughter: “Ask for the head of John the Baptist, here and now.” She considered the prophet a meddler in other people's affairs, but he loved her soul!
Hearing the king's promise to her daughter was what Herodias wanted. From then on, the voice that bothered her would no longer be heard, and her problems would end. The truth is that it wasn't her problems that ended, but rather the chance to know what God saw in her attitude. After death, she would be sent to the lake of fire and brimstone, from which she would never leave. And you, what do you say about this?
Never be influenced by human conclusions, for they are flawed. You must recognize your transgression and cleanse yourself of it. There can be no pain or shame that you think you will suffer in exchange for your perdition. God does not negotiate with sin; He loves the sinner (John 3:16). It is time to repent and confess your iniquity to be saved. Believe and live!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Eternal God and true love! Herodias thought John was a killjoy, but his purpose was to thwart the devil's plan to have her with him forever in Hell. However, she did not understand!
How many people also fail to understand that there are those who love them and do not want their destiny to be perdition and, therefore, speak ill of Your servants? We cry out for them to confess their errors and free themselves from them!
Father, strengthen our inner being, because we are guilty of accepting the devil's suggestions. From now on, we will resolve this according to the guidance of Your Word. We are grateful because You love us unconditionally!
