The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit, who can bear?

Proverbs 18.14

Our spirit is the core of our being and, sadly, we don't give it what it needs in order for us to grow stronger and live victoriously. If it gets sick because of passion, hatred or other evils, the whole being lives badly. It costs nothing to fortify it with the best. Although we nourish our bodies, we haven't been feeding on the Word of the Lord. The spirit is of the same essence as God (Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:7).

The spirit is eternal and indestructible. When life ends on earth, if we have accepted Jesus, who replaced us on the cross, we will be saved and go to Heaven. However, if we reject Him when we are told about Him, we will be sent to torment, where there will never be an exit or a time of rest (John 3:36). This is serious! Anyone who joins those who mock God will be sent with them to the lake of fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8). Watch out!

In times of physical, moral or spiritual illness, those who profess faith in Christ can be healed. However, those who are unaware of their potential in the Lord realize how wrong they have been because they are unprepared to enjoy a full life here and in eternity. When you die, all the knowledge you have gained in the world will be erased; the teachings of the Scriptures will remain. What counts is whether you have been born again or not!

Faithful Christians are already preparing to live in the Kingdom of God, that of perfection and holiness. In heaven, they will never be tempted by the devil, because he will never enter there (John 1.12). The prudent do not waste their time here, but cling to the revelations of the Bible. This is the wealth that will never run out. If you have it, you will be at Jesus' side in the heavenly Jerusalem!

No one should presume to think they are special, to think they can live on earth forever or to believe that everything will end with death. Walking with God only brings benefits. You stay away from the tempter and your life is transformed. Once saved, saved forever, as long as you persevere in your faith in Christ. Without this, no one is truly redeemed (Mark 13:13). Let God's love change you!

If you are not sure of your salvation, your spirit will be downcast and far from the Source of redemption. As a result, you will never taste of God's love. The Lord's offer to man is for his own good. Even though there are billions of people alive, not counting those who have died, He truly loves them. His love compels the lost to be saved and to live in the certainty that one day they will behold the glory of the Lord.

The summary of what we've seen today is the answer to the defeats and victories we have by faith or will have from now on. Look at how you have lived and become the person the Lord will have with Him forever. We must decide our future without delay, because our eternal happiness depends on it. It's easy to go to the good side!

Today's Prayer

Lord, our Redeemer! It's wonderful to understand the responsibility that lies ahead of us. When we convert to Christ, we will be blessed, but if we deny Him, we will be condemned, and that is not good. God, prepare us to live well!

By surrendering ourselves to You, we will be successful, so we make the decision to follow the Truth, which is You. We can't believe the devil's lies. We have decided to give our lives to You, receiving Jesus as our Savior. Keep us under Your wings!

We thank You for letting us hear the Good News that everything is ready to give us life in abundance. We refuse any proposal from the evil one. Your goodness is in us. Father, raise us up to know and love You!
