The fish that were in the river died, the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river. So there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt

Exodus 7.21

The plague of turning water into blood would afflict all of Egypt. God's power would work everywhere. Later, we will see the reason for this command, and the imitation of it by Pharaoh's sorcerers. We cannot compare the works of those who imitate the serious action of the Holy Spirit, with the intention of deceiving, with those of the Lord. Everything that comes from the Most High stands the test of any examination. We are not counterfeiters of the Word!

Never be impressed by the devil's "deeds". All that matters is what Christ does, because in His works there is no suffering for those who participate in them. Those who seek out the forces of darkness, on the other hand, are forever in the hands of torturing spirits. It is best never to get involved with the kingdom of evil. If any "relief" comes from it, the cost will be very high. The devil does nothing for anyone for a good purpose (John 10.10).

I have been used to free people suffering from various ailments. They couldn't bear the price demanded by the evil one, which is not financial and causes all kinds of damage to those who have participated of his "benefits". On the other hand, I meet people who have been attending our meetings for years and speak of the blessings they have received, telling how their lives and those of their families have changed for the better. Some have been involved in evil work, but they have been set free!

Not only was the Lord's promise fulfilled that the waters of Egypt, including those for domestic use, would turn to blood, but the sorcerers also achieved the same thing (Exodus 7.22). The devil still imitates God's achievements, but he will never do what the Most High does. Pharaoh was in trouble because he called himself a deity, but he couldn't compete with the Almighty. The plagues would continue!

What was happening in front of the king did not impress him, but made him tremble with fear. Every work done by Moses proved that only the Lord is God. That's why Pharaoh ran away from Moses. We don't know what he thought in his moments of loneliness and despair; perhaps he prayed to his "father and god Osiris" for help. However, in his heart, he knew that none of those Egyptian gods existed. They were lies from hell!

In the Old Testament, in order to prevent fraud, it was customary to write down all the prophecies revealed by the so-called prophets. If one of them was not fulfilled, showing that the Lord had not spoken through that servant, even if it was in private, he would be put to death for the lie he had kept before God (Deuteronomy 18.20-22). The one who spoke and the prophecy was fulfilled was not praised, but perceived as a serious and true man. Only those who don't know the Bible dare to speak lies.

The Lord says in the Scriptures that anyone who uses deception will not go unpunished (Psalm 55.23). For this reason, those who are wise should never make up a prophecy, because they will suffer the penalty. We must not praise anyone for being a man of God, but thank the Father that we can count on the service of such a person.  For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt (Mark 9:49). Take care of yourself!

Today's Prayer

God of true servants! You are the Truth and You would not compromise with evil or associate with those who live in error. We can never stop loving and obeying You. Thank You for being holy and not supporting any deception!

How long would Pharaoh allow himself to be deceived by imitators of Your work? Now, lies do not stand before You. We want to do Your good and unquestionable will, for in You are the rewards reserved for those who serve You!

Throughout the world, we find people in suffering and sin, begging for the favors of demons. They are poor souls dominated by the devil and ready to go wherever he sends them. Father, set them free so that they can be welcomed into Your house!
