And he went on his journey from the South as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai
Genesis 13:3
In the Bible, we do not see the Lord commanding Abraham to go to Egypt. Therefore, we cannot say that this was God's plan. However, the Most High's care for His servant is evident, as He did not allow Pharaoh to consummate the marriage with Sarah, the princess of the Lord. Even though he was in the land of sin, the Almighty supported the patriarch in everything: Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. (Genesis 13.2).
Upon returning, Abraham continued his journeys, going back to where he had been first, Bethel, a city located in Canaan. God's Covenant was strictly fulfilled. In my youth, I witnessed a pastor make a wrong confession. Because he was living in adultery, two men of God went to warn him about the spiritual condition he was in. However, the preacher said that the Lord approved of that situation because his church was growing. He failed to watch and pray!
The Most High never approved of anyone's sin, not even David, who was considered a man after God's own heart (Acts 13:22). It is our duty to walk before the Lord, taking His Word wherever we go. Disobedience to the commandments opens the door for the devil to act in us and our family. Sin is the worst thing in the life of a child of God. Before servants fall into error, the Holy Spirit strives to convince them not to stray (John 16:8).
Some time later, that pastor went to spend Carnival on an island near Rio de Janeiro to rest and seek the Most High. One Sunday, he asked his 23-year-old son to go buy bread. After getting off the boat, just as he was nearing the bakery, a stray bullet killed the young man. The father was in great despair when he saw what had happened! It is not worth turning away from God. Return to Him!
The fact that Abraham was increasingly prosperous shows what the Almighty desires for His children. Those who defend the theology of misery, sin, and constant complaints before God need to meditate on why the Holy Spirit used Moses to write about the heavenly will for His servants. The wise truly bring joy to the Lord!
What would the world be like if the Israel of the past had shown the other nations respect for the Word of God? It takes the place of Jesus in our daily life. In fact, the Savior bears witness to what is written in the Bible when we read it, and He speaks to us through anointed sermons. It is sad to see the lost going to places where the Lord is ridiculed by spiritual vandals who deny Him in almost everything!
Join yourself to Christ by doing His work, and never return to sin. Never give in to temptations, which only serve to burn you and then lead you into sin. Be submissive to the One who died on the cross to make you a new person. We fear God, so we must live happily every day. Shall we proclaim this fear to the lost?
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
God of Abraham and our God as well! We rely on Your help, living in Your Word and honoring Your holiness. We do not want to follow those who give themselves to spiritual corruption, but rather live in Your presence, respecting You as we should!
You took us out of the world. You are our Father! You sanctified us and made us new. For us, what is past is past, for we do not wish to return to the filthy ways of the past. Therefore, help us to live in You!
Deliver us from the world of transgressions and evil encounters that contaminate our souls. We desire to give You the right to use us to save the lost who are everywhere. Amen!
