As narrated in the Scriptures, God allowed the devil to take Jesus to Jerusalem, to make Him undergo the temptation of temptations, but Christ did not yield. Satan took the Savior to the pinnacle of the temple and challenged Him to prove that He was the Son of the Most High by throwing Himself down from there. The enemy quoted the Word, which guaranties that the angels would guard Jesus. After all, everything that is written must be fulfilled. The answer came quickly.

In the same way, in our instruction, we will face delicate moments, but if we are the servants of the Lord, for His pleasure, we will never heed the suggestions of Satan and his demons. It is sad to see people who seemed prepared to act according to the Bible, but when tested, they failed. Nothing worse than a child of God abandoning the Light to live in darkness!

In God's time, having learned to obey Him, we may go through trials we never thought existed. Keeping the heart pure, we will not give the devil any chance to divert us from the divine plan. The correct thing is to be kept in the hands of the Father, thus, He will not let us fall into the lies of the enemy (John 10:27-29). We are "vaccinated" so that we do not err anymore.

Satan challenged Jesus to throw Himself down from the pinnacle, for the angels of Heaven would guard Him in the fall, and nothing bad would happen to Him. There was just one very important issue with that: it would not be the Father directing Him, but the devil. Well, no one will be safe in the hands of demons. If the Master had thrown Himself down, He would have suffered the consequences of that action. Man was not made to meet the demands of the kingdom of evil, but to serve the Lord.

       Accepting challenges from people is wrong. The prudent servants wait for the right time to listen and respond to provocation, paying attention only to the Scriptures, and not to the author of evil. Jesus declared the following about His Word: Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Matthew 24.35). Why accept a challenge, if you only need to listen to your Lord? Watch!

         The closer you are to the Heavenly Father, the more temptations you will suffer. The devil seeks those who do not heed the eternal Word, which is why those who rush sin (Proverbs 19:2). Therefore, never give the prince of this world the pleasure of having made you err. If your faith is in Christ, you will be safe. The Messiah will protect the children of God, those who fulfill the will of the Most High.

       Jesus heard the devil's proposals and exclaimed firmly: “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’” (Luke 4.12b) quoting Deuteronomy 6:16. In this way, the Savior nullified the attempts of Hell to defeat Him. The Bible speaks of temptations, referring to them as instruments that strengthen true servants (James 1:2-4,12). However, many individuals are no longer disciples of the Lord, for they have sinned and have not repented of their offenses (Hebrews 10:26-31). Believe and live!
