THE GLORY OF THE NATIONS

For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; on her sides shall you be carried, and be dandled on her knees.
Isaiah 66.12
In verse 11, the Lord makes a bombastic revelation which, together with verse 12, reveals how much the Church of Christ is worth, comparing it to a mother who feeds her children: That you may feed and be satisfied with the consolation of her bosom, that you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.” (Isaiah 66.11). In this comparison, God teaches us to do in prayer what a baby does when feeding from its mother.
The Most-High shows us that everything useful will be given to us. Just as babies disturb their mothers with their need for milk, which will nourish them and protect them against disease, we must also seek the Lord to give us the right food, because we don't want to be defeated by the enemy (1 Peter 2.1,2). We have a duty to imitate little children when their bellies are empty. If you need power, ask God for it (Luke 11:9-13).
God declares that there is no limit to “breastfeeding”. It will continue until we have had enough of the holy food. Spiritual stomachs will tell us when enough is enough. The breasts of consolation produce what is necessary, including immunization against the evils of this world. To stop drawing milk into yourself means that you no longer need it. However, as long as you feel you can fit a little more in, continue to get enough of the consolations. The Father blesses!
Soak up everything from the Lord until you bask in the radiance of His glory, as the Word presents Him: who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high (Hebrews 1.3). Jesus was made Heir of all things by the One who also made the world.
The Father has extended peace over the Church, so that the afflicted may come to her and be cared for. This peace is like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream. Therefore, in the house of God, there is power and solution, nothing is lacking. The stream overflows with blessings for everyone. All you have to do is cry out to the Father and you will be answered. In other words: Christians just need to believe in Him.
By saying, Then you shall feed, the Lord makes it clear that, like helpless children, we are in the position of knowing nothing, but by insisting on getting food, we will get it. The act of sucking is the information that babies give their mothers that they are hungry and know where to find the blessing. Jesus' servants must act like hungry babies: eagerly seeking answers in God.
No woman is saddened by the request of her little child, who knows that she will find what she needs in her mother's womb and will instinctively look for the nipple from which her mother's nectar will come. We must feed from the Word, the Source of all good, the teachings and directions of the Most-High until we are satisfied.
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
God, our Source of food! We have to be like babies so that we can enter Your Kingdom of love, power and solution. Father, the devil will never defeat us if we are well nourished with Your Word. We thank You for that!
In the food You give us, we have peace. With it, we overcome crises and put an end to disturbances and temptations. Your love will keep us alert so we don't lose the battles. Lord, help us to live free in You!
Our peace will flow like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing river. There is no misery in Your Church, but rather healing, deliverance and forgiveness for those who become Your children. We understand that You will give us everything on our knees!
