You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it

Deuteronomy 1.17

The popular saying goes: "Better safe than sorry." Given this, we must remember that the enemy is loose and trying to bring people down. The global press has been striving to cover up the moral and social corruption that has spread. This effort by the media is to convince people that the devil does not exist and, therefore, cannot be orchestrating this chaos. Some say that Satan is just a legend.

Moses knew of the existence and the wickedness of the kingdom of darkness. So, he told the judges to be impartial in their decisions. The evil one knows the morals of many and knows that if these people receive a little gift, they will change the truth and absolve those they were supposed to condemn. We have an enemy to avoid, but the media insists on saying that everything is superstition. The more they deny the existence of the thief, the more he will thank them!

For a judgment to be formed free of bias, doing justice to those who deserve it, judges should listen to both the small and the great. By adopting this conduct, they would recognize the holder of the truth. These authorities had to sit on the tribunal and be ready to understand the claims of the parties in conflict, so that the lie would never prevail. It would be easy to ensure the transparency of this process if the listening were free of pre-judgment, for God would show them which decision to make!

As an illustration, we can mention the current electoral process. Voters should adopt these same criteria during the voting process, being guided by integrity. When a candidate, for example, offers money in exchange for a vote, they already demonstrate their dishonesty. In this way, they can never be elected. Cursed is the nation that allows theft to benefit one individual or another. The electoral campaign and the vote cast must be clean!

Moses told the judges that they should never fear the face of anyone, for the rights of the oppressed should guide the decision they would make. Lies and vote-buying must be unconditionally rejected. Whoever receives any benefit to vote for this or that will be held accountable before the Lord. Unfortunately, we know that even members of the Body of Christ have been deceived in this regard. Remember: we will all go before the judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Faithfulness to God, to one's spouse, and to the nation is something inalienable. There is so much to be done for the growth of the country! Everyone should respect each other's rights. The people who received or gave money in exchange for votes will pay dearly in the court of eternity. There, they will be scourged. Their salvation is in danger. Watch, pray, and believe!

Examine the Word, which says: But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more (Luke 12:48). Take care not to get dirty!

Today's Prayer

God of true justice! Why should we incriminate ourselves and be whipped when we can prepare for eternal happiness? Your tribunal will be that of Truth, where the corrupters and the corrupted will despair at the sentence. Have mercy!

We cannot fear the face of anyone nor accept bribes to express the lie that You warn us about in this word spoken by Moses. The world needs to know the people who surrender to You and not to the devil. We cry out for mercy!

If something is difficult for us to accept, help us, Father! We will never go against Your will. Why should we allow the evil one to use us, when we must set an example so that no one allows themselves to be bought? We are free to live Your truth!
