That Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand, and hear me

Psalm 108.6

Verse 5 of this Psalm motivates us to ask God for His exaltation in the spiritual world, as well as His glory on Earth, which will cause Him to deliver His beloved and save them with His right hand. Verse 6 shows us that we are able to ask the Lord to save us and hear us. Our action on God's promises will make His commandments desirable for our lives, so we will follow them.

Jesus said that we will love Him when we have His commandments and keep them, according to what John recorded in his gospel: He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14.21). Notice that David declared that God would deliver His beloved ones. It is worthwhile to be a seeker of divine commands and to obey them!

Who are the Lord's beloved? Are they the religious people who try to get rid of the devil's offers, who proposed to Jesus that He bow down before him and worship him? No! The Savior would never kneel down before the evil one, but unfortunately, many people bow down before the adversary's offers. Poor souls! They will go to eternal torment and never escape. God's servants will be freed from any evil oppression!

There is nothing better than living free from hellish influences, as well as sleeping and waking up without worrying about escaping the enemy's touch. The Scriptures warn: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5.8). It is easy to live without submitting to any temptation or suffering!

David asked God to save the Israelites with His right hand—the power placed at His right hand to carry out His will. Therefore, they should not let the enemy touch anything that belonged to them. Even though they lived under the severe Law of Moses, the children of Israel did not submit to the attacks of the evil one; rather, they patiently prayed to the Lord to deliver them from any snare, and He answered them. God is our Helper!

In addition to saving them, David wanted the Lord to hear them, for he knew that the conditions in which they lived were still not good. With the exaltation of the glory of the Most High, the Israelites would not hesitate to go to war in order to defend themselves and defeat their adversaries. With God, man can do productive things; he need only allow Him to enable him to do what he sets out to do.

When we contribute to the Father being exalted in Heaven and His glory on Earth, we will not be forgotten, but rather answered as soon as we express the desire for His intervention in our lives. Those who do not seek the Lord, however, live precariously, vegetating until God does them good. Watch, pray, and believe!

Today's Prayer

God of true freedom and honor! No one can live far from You, for they will not succeed in anything. However, when a person finds You in the Word and begins to live in You, the enemy loses the battle and retreats because he cannot withstand Your fire.

Your beloved ones wait to be freed and honored by You. You grant them royal dignity. We must seek You and obey Your teachings. Only then will we be victorious over the infernal attacks.

We cry out for understanding from You, which will enable us to free ourselves from evil attacks. This is what we call salvation! We thank You for loving us!
