Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness.

Psalm 119.36

When a person is wise, we soon see others giving praise to the Lord for them. The heroes of the Old Testament church, as well as those of today, are the same, because they serve the same God. The only thing that differentiates them is their approach to the work they were given to do, believing that the Most High would be with them against their enemies. For this reason, there were those who glorified God for the wonders worked through them. What do you say about that?

Without divine wisdom and testimony to become a better person, the Christian will bring shame on the Kingdom of Heaven. We were saved to follow the Lord closely and act like Him, who said: For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you (John 13.15). We must let the Name of the Lord do in our day what it did in the days when Jesus walked in the world (John 14.12).

Anyone who claims to be saved but only thinks about the pleasures of the flesh will never get anywhere, because their inclination is towards rottenness (Galatians 6:8). However, those who lean towards God's testimony about the Christian's position in all things live in a way that pleases the Lord, living to show the world how to practice the faith, using the power with which they have been clothed by Christ. Carnal people never get out of misery and shame, because they don't get up from the seat of defeat!

The person who is terrified of the devil never succeeds. Those with a joyful heart, on the other hand, have health, the will to win and fearlessness in the face of the adversary. Look at what the Scriptures say: A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken (Proverbs 15.13). Don't let yourself be carried away by the threats of the evil one, because the Greater One resides within you, so you are the victor (1 John 4.4).

Saul was cornered like a cat before the hound of hell, but David saw the giant for what he was: a defeated man standing behind a soldier, protecting himself from the darts that could hit him. David faced him smiling, because the infinitely Greater lived within him. Never be afraid or influenced by the world that is in the devil (1 John 5:19). After all, God is ahead of you to help you overcome crises.

When a Christian allows the testimony of the Most High to enter his heart, he soon becomes intrepid - full of the courage that comes from God. The opponent's defeat is certain, for the Lion of the tribe of Judah dwells in the Lord's faithful servant. David's story was written in glorious letters, and what will be said of your story?

Today's Prayer

God of the powerful Word! It is beautiful to know that Your speech strengthens those who listen to You and makes them the number one winner for Your glory. So, I ask You: transform us into people who believe in what You declare and accomplish. We thank You!

Your people will not be overcome, even if the devil has made the greatest preparation and shows himself strong, because when Jacob's Stronghold is manifested, nothing will resist Him. Lord, give us the ability to fight battles!

Don't let the world see us as fearful people, without the courage to fight. We want to do Your will as if you were doing it. Your children cry out for the chance to show who they are and what they can do in You. Help us!
