There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.

Genesis 37.7

From an early age, Joseph showed that he would be a prophet, because in those days, God spoke through dreams and visions to those who were called to this ministry. This happened to the son of Jacob and Rachel, his beloved. Because of this gift from God, it was to be expected that the members of Joseph's family would not pay enough attention to him. Envy is something common in all human beings, so the servant of the Most High must not let this evil feeling take hold of him.

Whoever is born into the Kingdom of God must become a disciple of the Master, who will give him the ability to listen to Him and succeed in his mission. To Christians, I say: believe and preach the same Gospel proclaimed by Jesus, in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, with signs, wonders and marvels (Matthew 24.14). Anyone who doesn't heed the divine command will be in trouble at the Lord's judgment seat (2 Corinthians 5:10).

The Almighty was preparing Joseph for a significant work. Have you ever felt God calling you to a ministry? If you haven't, know that He wants to use you in a supernatural way, even if you have no leadership position in the Body of Christ. The call to go and tell your friends, relatives, and other people about Christ must be done prudently. In this way, the Lord will use you in a special way (2 Timothy 2:24-26). Be strong!

Try to understand what you read in the Bible, so that it can be used to help many people with the same knowledge you were given (2 Corinthians 1:2,4). The saved are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5.13), but if they become tasteless, how will the world be salted? Those who serve the Lord need to be aware of this: the obligations recorded in the Word weigh heavily on our shoulders. We will be judged by them. What will your attitude be?

It doesn't matter what others think of you. The main thing is not to get involved with wrong things; the rest the Lord will certainly take care of. Now, if you have let evil into your life, confess such mistake (1 John 1:9). By acting wisely, you will free yourself from condemnation on the Day of Judgement and then God will keep you from adversity. Be firm in your faith, and don't renounce it. Faith is the talent entrusted to you to be used until Christ returns (Luke 19.13)!

Joseph's saga was one of the worst a Christian can go through, but with faith and determination, you can know God's plans for you. No one will steal what is yours, just be vigilant and exercise your right in Christ (Revelation 3.11). We are called to have the blessings won by Jesus, so don't ever let yourself be taken in by the lies of Satan, who tries to corrupt you at all costs. Be steadfast (1 Corinthians 15:58), because that pleases the Father!

What God makes you understand will not come to pass if you give in to the devil. Just as the Lord has used other people, He will also use you. So, persevere in your mission, knowing that the Almighty will give you the resources you need to fulfill it. Blessed is he who obeys Him!

Today's Prayer

Beloved Lord! We want to know Your plan for us so that we can glorify You every day. By doing something according to Your revelation, we close the door to the evil one so that he can never enter where You are acting!

Joseph was fortunate to resist temptation and deliver Egypt from famine. This servant of Yours had You as his Guardian and Protector, so he will never be forgotten. Joseph was great before You, loved by You, and richly blessed. He obeyed You!

May it also be said of us that we carried out Your orders with joy and good cheer, without murmuring or distorting the truth. Be with the weak who want to appear strong but whose hearts are imperfect and full of vices! Your power will help them!
