THEY WERE RIGHT

Then the Lord heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me, and the Lord said to me: ‘I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They are right in all that they have spoken'
Deuteronomy 5:28
We must be careful about what we say, so that we do not make mistakes that compromise us in vain matters or in things that do not concern us. In truth, we should speak only what God authorizes us to speak. Jesus said, “For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak” (John 12:49). The Lord’s guidance resolves any problem. Never doubt it!
The Israelites saw the glory of God descend upon the mountain and concluded that He had the power to do whatever He pleased. Therefore, they asked Moses to represent them before the Father of lights so that they might remain alive (Exodus 20:18–19). Today, we have the Word of the Lord, which contains all the answers we need to hear from Him; therefore, we must be attentive, for any disobedience will result in our prayers not being answered. Believe!
The Savior warned us about the danger of speaking idle words that are not in accordance with the Scriptures: But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12.36,37). Idle words are those we create and declare without biblical foundation. The Word of God is clothed with power to accomplish exactly what He purposes (Isaiah 55:11).
When we receive the Word as Truth, we allow the powers of Heaven to operate on our behalf, and there is no condemnation in what we declare, because the work God requires reveals His will. Jesus said: And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” (John 12.50). The words of Christ help us persevere until we attain eternal life.
When we speak according to the Bible, we act wisely. We can open our mouths without condemnation, for the Lord’s revelations purify us from every evil intention and enable us to prosper in His work. We must continually consult the Holy Scriptures so that the devil’s purpose—to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10)—never reaches us. When God’s Word is stored in our hearts, we will remain pure and avoid actions that could compromise us (Psalm 119:11).
We need to be aware that God hears everything we say. So let us be careful never to say what is wrong. Jesus warned us that what we say in private will be proclaimed on the housetops, that is, for people to hear: Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. (Luke 12.3). We must be careful, for we will give account for everything, including our words.
When we understand the Lord’s purpose and speak in agreement with it, there is no reproach or deceit in our declarations. Therefore, let us remain pure and acceptable in God’s sight, and we will have nothing to fear at the judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10). In this way, we will live well both now and throughout eternity.
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Good and true Father! There are not enough words to thank You for warning us and for delivering us from every form of evil involvement. Listening to You makes us blessed children, and because of this, nothing good will be withheld from us!
The Scriptures allow us to know You and to have access to You. Many times, however, we allow vanity to rule our hearts and fail to give You the glory due to You for Your mighty works. Yet, having received forgiveness for our sins, we praise Your holy Name!
We do not want to walk contrary to Your Word, but rather to be guided by You. We must do nothing that would compromise our salvation or our eternal joy. Open our hearts to Your Word, so that we may never act differently from Jesus!
