(Jesus) rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself
John 13:4
After dining with the Lord, we must follow His example: rise up to do the work for which God has called us. Jesus immediately got up and took off His garments of authority, girding Himself with something simple, in order to give a lesson of humility and love to those He loved until the end. Even though He had never done anything like it, Christ followed the Father's guidance. He wants leaders to love their followers. God is love!
When the Master ministered, He represented the power of the Most High. When we preach His Word, we act in the Name of the Lord. Therefore, we must be at His disposal to be used. Thus, we will have, upon His return to Earth, the reward for the favor done. God will reward us for the good we do to anyone (Matthew 10:42). Stay alert to be an instrument in His hands!
Faith meetings, whether with one person or a group, in the church or elsewhere, should be intended to express faith and perform wonders. If we are connected in Christ, we will be guided by the Holy Spirit in the way we speak to those who need divine blessing, in order to help them. Often, an encounter with just one individual can result in great work for the Kingdom of God. Always be ready to listen to the Lord and bless someone.
After we dine with the Most High – this happens every time at church where we are fed by the Word –, we must rise up to continue fulfilling His orders. There is nothing better than continuing to serve the Lord as we were called. Wherever there is the slightest need, we must meet it. Letting someone return home without having understood the preached message shows that we are not speaking as God desires.
The shy never show that they appreciate our actions. There may be cases where a person enters the temple confused and, at the end of the meeting, remains as they arrived. Therefore, we – or someone we appoint to help us – should talk to them. A good service will ensure that no one leaves the service without receiving a word of faith. We are dealing with people who, throughout their lives, have been dominated by the enemy. Therefore, we must be wise to free them.
Jesus exchanged the garments of service for a towel, something unusual for a leader to wear. However, with this attitude, He showed that He used what was at hand, for it is not the garment that makes someone blessed, but the authority that has been granted to us. Always be prepared to listen to the Lord, for He will guide the steps you should take. Never let a person leave the service without having a direction. Whoever loves Jesus will be loved by Him (John 14:21).
Lastly, let us learn from the Savior how to dress ourselves to minister the blessing. Peter thought Jesus would do something simple. However, when he learned that the Master took that action to wash his feet, Peter asked Him to wash his head and hands as well. Because they do not understand the message, many reject the prayer of faith. We must speak slowly, in an objective manner, and with the anointing that breaks every yoke. The liberated people come to love the Lord!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Beloved Lord! The best words are those You speak to us. Therefore, we thank You for the benefits of Your revelations, so that Your vows may be fully fulfilled in our lives. We are grateful for Your blessings!
Work with Your grace in the lives of those who hear the Good News. They will learn about Jesus, who is gentle and lowly in heart. We want to see Your great power working in them!
Those who have not yet heard of what we do in Your Name and Your love for us should learn that, in You, there is more than is expected. It is beautiful to see Your flow and Your grace working in those who are far from You!
