Saul also sent messengers to David’s house to watch him and to kill him in the morning. And Michal, David’s wife, told him, saying, “If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed”
1 Samuel 19.11
King Saul became David's enemy because David was used by the Most High, loved by Him and invincible in all the wars in which he took part. Satan always rises up through people whose character is weak. The result: the Lord's anointed are persecuted. The lies of some lead them to want to wipe out those who have been chosen by Heaven. We need to be on our guard!
The innocent must remain so, so that their steps are guarded by God. In the diabolical plan against the Lord's anointed, there will be many greedy people, used to carry out the worst. However, the upright must not fear the evil one, because the Almighty will guard their path. Now, they have to be on their guard, lest they leave the divine presence. Why do these attacks against the Lord's servants arise?
In Heaven, we will learn about the plans made in Hell, in which those who were supposed to fight them took part, but were an instrument of the sinister agreement. But we need not fear, because the Guard of Israel will keep us hidden from the eyes of the enemy's envoys, and any evil attempt will not succeed. The Lord keeps us from all evil (Psalm 121:7).
Saul plotted the death of David, who was at home with his wife Michal, the king's daughter. On this occasion, it is possible that his father-in-law went to bed happy because, being evil, he would be free of his “enemy”. However, David was just the opposite: he loved him and would never betray him. Every time a servant of God lets temptation take control of his life, he is in danger. But if he is holy, nothing bad will happen to him (Psalm 91).
The wicked king knew that Michal, his daughter, loved David. She had been given to the young shepherd as a wife after he had defeated Goliath, the Philistine giant who put Saul to shame (1 Samuel 17). Then, seized by demons, Saul sent messengers to his son-in-law's house to kill him. Michal's heart was different from her father's, so she warned her husband about the plan to destroy him. David escaped with the help of his wife, who lowered him through a window and even pretended that he was asleep, sick (1 Samuel 19:12-14)
Never fear the evil that is set against you. With God's anointing on your life, every yoke will be broken (Isaiah 10:27). David escaped, and the king was furious, but, unfortunately, this monarch increasingly sought to put an end to his son-in-law, who had been prepared by God to ascend to the throne of Israel. The king's intentions were thwarted, and the evil desire of his heart was not fulfilled. What account will he give on the Day of Judgment?
If we are guided by the Holy Spirit, there will only be victory. In heaven, we will understand that he, who plotted against the Lord's will, will be put to shame. If you have been used by the enemy to destroy those whom God has chosen, repent and get right with the Lord now. This is a warning!
In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer
Lord, our guardian! Those who wish us harm are deceived, for You use, guard and strengthen us. We are not in competition, nor are we trying to show that we are Yours. We want to fulfill the call You have given us with love and faith!
Like Paul, we will say at the end of our lives: “We have fought the good fight, we have finished the race and we have kept the faith”. We are interested in being faithful to You, without distorting Your Word, and refusing the devil any right over us. We are happy to serve You, Father!
We pray on behalf of those who have hindered us, that they may be blessed with repentance and be among the redeemed. The day of our departure will come as planned by You, but may no one fail to go to the heavenly Home because of us!
