“But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham My friend

Isaiah 41.8

Before the coming of Jesus into the world, Israel was the Lord's chosen nation. The Most High expected them to bear witness to His power so that other nations could see how good He is and, thus, be able to serve Him as well. However, contrary to divine will, the children of Jacob thought only of material prosperity. Thus, with the coming of Christ, the Jews did not understand that He was the promised Messiah, despite the prophecies pointing to Him as such (John 1:11).

The Jews rejected Christ because they did not believe He would come in the way He did, even though the entire Bible is centered on Him. Now, Jesus is the Savior of those who surrender to Him. It doesn't matter to which nation someone belongs; having been born of God by the work and grace of the Holy Spirit, we become the target of the despised Savior and are saved by His blood and anointed by His Spirit. From the new birth, we become the natural heirs of the covenants made with Abraham (Romans 4:11).

The promises regarding ancient Israel are now ours, and therefore, every day, more people convert to Jesus and are accepted as members of the Body of Christ, awaiting the day of His return. The wonders performed by Him will give everyone who accepts Him the testimony that the Name of the Savior represents His absent person. It is wonderful to hear and see the same Lord working the same miracles among us.

We were chosen in Abraham and, thus, we can continue doing the will of the Father and have Him working in our services. We have seen practically the same wonders that He performed in the days of the Old Testament, therefore we give thanks for the signs that prove we are seeds of Abraham. We will never turn our backs on Him who is Refuge, Fortress, and Help for us (Psalm 46:1).

How can anyone expect another, if there is no promise left out by Jesus? The King of kings submitted Himself to the entire Law of Moses, fulfilling the divine promise that whoever calls on His Name shall be saved (Romans 10:13). God does not discriminate against anyone: He gave His Son so that everyone could be His beloved children (John 3:16,17). To the Most High, we must give thanks for such goodness and richness of mercy. Believe and live!

We are the Jacob chosen by the Almighty; so, what more do we need if Jesus has granted us eternal life? Our ancestor Abraham is called a friend of God. In the same way, the Lord loves us with zeal and dedication as He loved that servant (James 2:23). Understand: nothing will be lacking to those who enter through the door and humble themselves before the Almighty, to be exalted by Him (Matthew 23:12). We will never again bow before difficulties, because we have been set apart for the Lord.

When you feel alone, not knowing how to act to bring God to work in your favor, helping you to avoid a sad ending, lift your head and tell Him that you will not receive any arrow from Hell, but will use the authority given to you by the Messiah. So, in the Name of Jesus, command the evil that troubles you to leave and believe in the Word.

In Christ, with love,

Today's Prayer

Lord of Truth! It is good to be Your children! We have the "letter of manumission" that assures us that no evil will befall us nor will any plague reach our tent. We are freed in the Name of Jesus!

We are free from all the power of Hell, because Christ paid our redemption. For this reason, we do not accept any excuse from the defeated, because the Bread of Life has settled our debt. We will never allow Satan to attack us!

Father, because You have declared that no one will take us from Your hands, we are certain that, much as the devil tries, he will not be able to harm us. No arrow or stone thrown by the enemy against us will reach us. We are free in Christ!
