Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; o Lord, revive me according to Your justice.

Psalm 119.149

The Author of our faith is the Holy Spirit, who guides us in the Word of God, the Truth (John 17:17). That's why we need to be right with God. The blind man, mentioned in John 9, who was healed by Jesus and went to the pool of Siloam to wash the mud applied by the Master to his eyes, saw more than the Jews who asked him, for he said: Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him (John 9.31). Believe and live!

The Author of our prayers must be the Holy Spirit, because then we won't miss the opportunity to be heard and answered by the Father. If we talk about ourselves, we become like sinners, without the fear of the Lord. But if we are clothed in the anointing of the Comforter, we will be in the presence of God, and what we speak will enter the Holy of Holies, where the Most High judges, and we will be blessed.

The Almighty wants to hear our voice as we declare the revelations of the Word, to bless us and reward us for believing in our Covenant with Jesus. The apostle Paul speaks of this, quoting King David: And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, 'I have believed and therefore I spoke, we also believe and also speak (2 Corinthians 4:13). If you believe that Jesus replaced you on the cross, demand your rights (Isaiah 53.1-11).

God hears our voice when we speak according to the Covenant He made with man in Christ's death on the cross. The Lord has promised us: My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips (Psalm 89.34). If He doesn't break His covenant or what goes out of His lips, why would we break it? It is our guarantee of having it fulfilled in us. Don't accept temptation, sickness or any other evil!

Praying without referring to the judgment made in Jesus' death and resurrection is like scooping water out of the sea or river with a sieve: pure waste of time and hope. Therefore, when you enter the Father's presence to receive any blessing, don't do it crying, like a person who is suffering a lot and has no one's attention. You can believe and enjoy all that Jesus suffered in your place. Believe and live free!

God listens to us out of His gracious hope, which made Him give His only begotten Son to die in our place, paying our debt to Him. The Lord wants to see you act by believing in His promises for your life. In this way, you will be after God's own heart: And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said: I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will (Acts 13.22).

The Lord gives us life again through the quickening he did in Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:22). We can't invent anything that the Most High hasn't said and claim it. Therefore, you have to be connected to His Word in order to be blessed (John 15:5). Understand: praying for the sake of praying is playing games with God, but when you know that something belongs to you, even if someone tells you otherwise, don't believe that bad word, because God has already guaranteed you His gifts.

Today's Prayer

God who hears us! It is good to know Your desire to fulfill in us Your declarations on our behalf. That's why we want to read the Scriptures and learn the things that are ours to accomplish and enjoy!

No more suffering and doubts when it comes to taking possession of the blessing. We can never stumble in life. We have received from You the same faith that You gave to Your Son. With it, the Savior did the works You commanded. We want to do the same!

We thank You for Your hopeful goodness, or kind hope. We are Your agents in this generation, just as others were in their time. Don't let us lose the promise that we will be blessed if we believe in Your revelations. Amen!
