The psalmist went through difficult situations, seemingly impossible to solve. He accused the Lord of having made the enemy attack him: You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs (Psalm 66.11). Today, this would never happen, because Jesus has already paid the price for our sins; therefore, our loins will no longer be afflicted by the prince of darkness as divine punishment (Isaiah 53:4-6). God is our Helper in everything (Philippians 4:13)!

The author of the Psalm spoke about the adversities he faced and again blamed the Most High for allowing him to be oppressed by the adversary: You have caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; but You brought us out to rich fulfillment (Psalm 66.12). In the end, he acknowledged that the trial delivered him from many evils, and, finally, God brought him to a place of abundance and peace (James 1:2-4,12). The Lord is our Friend!

Many times, a critical situation afflicts us because we are not under the direction of Heaven, living as if the evil one did not exist and harboring bad thoughts. We must not forget that the devil fights to take us away from the presence of God. Therefore, we must always be in communion with the Lord and deeply rooted in Him, so that the chief of evil does not overcome us (James 4:7).

There are occasions when the battle takes place within the home because the spouse is weakened in faith, lacking the strength to resist temptations. Then, they become interested in someone outside the marriage, considering this situation normal. However, this is sin and has the action of the devil, who came to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10a). The enemy envies our position before the Father and, therefore, spends time trying to lead us away from the Lord!

The devil sets traps for the weak in faith, and they are dazzled by such offers. Well, how many lives have been destroyed for this reason? The work of evil is to tear us away from eternal happiness, as if we were mere toys in its hands. Whoever is wise remembers that even Christ was tempted by the devil for 40 days, who came to the Savior with three great temptations (Matthew 4). However, Jesus overcame him!

Daniel needed God's help to know the future of his people. With this purpose, he began a period of consecration of 21 days. In the end, the angel reassured the prophet: “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words (Daniel 10.12).

The angel continued speaking to Daniel about something that happened before Jesus was born and descended into Hell to strip Satan and his princes of the authority taken from Adam: But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. (Daniel 10.13). Never let the devil harm you!
