“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me.

Isaiah 43.10

Already in the Old Testament, when grace and Truth were not in the world, God called us, giving us two titles that we cannot give up: we are His witnesses and, at the same time, His servants for our own benefit. In the Lord, we have the understanding of all things and we can believe that He is who He says He is: before and after the Most High there will be no other god. The Father is everything to those who believe in Him!

We live in a time when the Mystery hidden for millennia has been revealed. Therefore, the will of the Lord is no longer hidden from those who desire to know it. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, who leads us to the Father (John 14:6). The Gospel cannot be compared to any religion. Jesus revealed Himself as the Author of creation without disguise, in full light. Never belittle the Word of God by comparing it with religious precepts!

The revelations of the Word make us witnesses of the Lord and ministers of His hopeful goodness (2 Corinthians 3:6). Christ entrusted us with the same position He received from the Father when He was sent to redeem us and set an example for us to follow in His footsteps. Our position before the destiny of many is one of great responsibility. If we fail to obey God, we will be held responsible for our negligence.

We are servants handpicked by Jesus to learn how to carry out the divine purpose, as He Himself demonstrated: For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.  (John 13.15). It is a commandment, not an option, to do God's will in the same way that Christ did. Those who believe in His Word should not act according to their own thoughts, but according to the Savior's model!

Our struggle is for life, not a religious war. We should not condemn anyone, but help the lost to be saved. This is the noblest goal to be achieved; after all, the Father does not want anyone to be lost: This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.  (John 6.39). Revelation comes to give dignity to all, convincing them to receive Jesus and be delivered from future wrath.

The secret of the Gospel needs to be known by all. People must understand why the Lord is the same — the Father who plans and creates all things. If He has commanded us to be His witnesses, we do not have to beg for what is ours, but rather take possession of it, using the Name of Jesus. When we take our place in the Word, we see the same works of Christ being done by our determination (John 14:12).

God does not change; therefore, let us fulfill His commands as recorded in the Bible, lest we be punished for negligence. After acting as the Most High has commanded, we must not retreat even an inch, confessing that it is not possible to obey Him.

Today's Prayer

Lord of the work! We want to be Your witnesses, proclaiming Your Word constantly. We are Your best in this life, so we prostrate ourselves at Your feet to thank You for this mission. Thank You for loving us!

We were chosen as Your servants to show the world what our decision to serve You means. We live among people who are not yet Your servants, and this causes us much harm. Help us, Father, to show them Your will!

You alone are God, and this reassures us about anything man can invent. With the power granted by You, we can perform the same works, and the world will be amazed. We are Yours to love the lost and bring them into Your holy presence!
