Although we are small, we need not fear, because we rely on the Lord, as He promised in the Scriptures. For the lost, divine guidance is of no interest, but for us, it is the guaranty of being protected from the imminent attacks against our lives, families, and properties. We are the heirs of God's promises made to Abraham, who did not fear and was helped. We will overcome everything in the Name of Jesus!

We want to learn more about the Lord, about what He can do in our favor, in order to win the battles. At the end of the journey, we will have the pleasure of testifying how He helped us. God is the Almighty, and, being in Him, we will also be helped in what His Word directs us to do. As the psalmist David affirmed, we will say: Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You (Psalm 56.3). There is no reason to fear, because God is the Greatest.

Using paternal language, the Lord advises us not to fear anything, for He holds us by the hand (Isaiah 41:13). Then, God calls us “you worm Jacob”, speaking of the origin of our life. The word is used to show that the Creator knows our fragility before the Universe and life, and also our identity as His children and heirs of His Kingdom. Therefore, we must embrace ourselves as beloved little children. Even being considered small creatures, we are the dwelling place of the Lord and the site of His sanctuary. What God is this?

Right after David was crowned king, the Philistines launched an attack against him. The newly appointed ruler of Israel armed himself and consulted the Lord to know if he should confront the enemies, and the Almighty consented. David inflicted a great defeat on them. When they returned, the king of Israel asked the Lord again if he had permission to go again, and the answer was yes. However, he would have to wait for a sound coming from the tops of the mulberry trees (2 Samuel 5:17-25). Listening to the Lord gives us victory!

We live in a time when people are dedicated to religious practices, but those who love God need to ask Him how to act in the face of an evil attack. Know that the lack of guidance from Heaven will hinder those who claim not to have time to seek the Lord, in order to seek guidance in everything they have to do. God is a true Father, who never shies away from battles. When He acts, the enemy gives up trying to go against us. The Most High is good!

It doesn't matter if we feel strong or weak. When we consult the Lord, He will show the right direction to those who seek Him. David defeated the enemies, whose forces only wanted one thing: to subjugate the children of Jacob. However, after the second battle, the Philistines never troubled the son of Jesse, now king over all of Israel. It doesn't matter if the devil attacks you once or multiple times, but rather Who holds your hand. Believe and live!

We have in Jesus our Redeemer. David always went to God to know whether he should go against the people threatening Israel or not. If the answer was yes, he fought against that nation, but sometimes he had to wait. The Lord will speak to you about all things through the Scriptures. Thus, upon hearing the direction from Above, go and do as you have been taught!

In Christ, with love,
